Game 8, vs Washington State (2017)

Re: Game 8, vs Washington State (2017)
So RR decides to play not to lose on offense with three straight runs, including 3rd and goal from the 9 and follows it up with a nice Prevent D. Great

You can't get much more locker-room momentum than pulling to within a score behind your backup QB.SCCats wrote:Change of QB?
We might have just won this game.
Cats needed to bring more pressure on that drive, and now the Cougs are back in the game with confidence and options behind center.
Who gets second-half kickoff?

Challenge the play for a facemask?
Is that possible?

Probably the most important kick of the season to date.UAdevil wrote:That gives you a little mo back.
Air a bit out of Wazzu's sails now, but RR is right about one thing: "We need to bring more pressure on the QB."

Well that awesome 57 ya FG certainly helped the momentum killer of their last score. Good job!

Is this the kid that was kicking 60+ yard fg's in kick camp?

Re: Game 8, vs Washington State (2017)
NCAA FBS record FG length is 67 yards with a tee, and 65 without a tee.
Are kickers allowed to use a tee if they want or only if the ground is swampy or something?

Re: Game 8, vs Washington State (2017)
Probably not a popular opinion here, but I'm rooting for ASU tonight. A couple wins tonight for the state of Arizona could really turn the Pac upside down.
Re: Game 8, vs Washington State (2017)
It would be cool to play them for the south title again especially since we were picked to finish 5th and 6th.Alieberman wrote:Probably not a popular opinion here, but I'm rooting for ASU tonight. A couple wins tonight for the state of Arizona could really turn the Pac upside down.

Think tees have been banned for some time now. I think Max Zendejas kicked a 57 yarder with a tee.RichardCranium wrote:NCAA FBS record FG length is 67 yards with a tee, and 65 without a tee.

Re: Game 8, vs Washington State (2017)
If that happens, Cats are bowl-eligible and own the overall record tiebreaker on the Pac-12 South title with four games to play.Alieberman wrote:Probably not a popular opinion here, but I'm rooting for ASU tonight. That's called the inside track on the conference championship game, my friend. Can't see why that would ever be an unpopular opinion. Help comes in many forms, even from the Scummies.

Re: Game 8, vs Washington State (2017)
eh the play calling was a little...odd there on that last chance to score. definitely felt "tight" and like RR's ass was puckering a bit or something. I dunno, maybe I"m imagining that lolCatMG wrote:So RR decides to play not to lose on offense with three straight runs, including 3rd and goal from the 9 and follows it up with a nice Prevent D. I'd rather have us turn the conference upside down. Sorta like the Clones in the B12.Alieberman wrote:Probably not a popular opinion here, but I'm rooting for ASU tonight. A couple wins tonight for the state of Arizona could really turn the Pac upside down.
Re: Game 8, vs Washington State (2017)
First and goal from the 2, you've got to ATTACK the goal line. We ran away from it, and I have no idea why.PieceOfMeat wrote:eh the play calling was a little...odd there on that last chance to score. definitely felt "tight" and like RR's ass was puckering a bit or something. Arizona always gets out ahead of itself to a point where it plays scared. Needs to stop, because I'm getting too old for that Nervous Nelly BS. Own the moment. Want it.
