There goes the rest of our DL
Re: Game 11, at Oregon (2017)
Great, not only are we going to get clobbered we are going into the Scum game all dinged up.
If Tate doesn't get us in on the next series RRod needs to pull him for Dawkins. Tate is already dinged.

We'll have no DL left for ASU.
Parker Sellers will be fresh though - he didn't make the trip due to disciplinary reasons

I've been pushing for football bribery for a long timeWildcatStunner wrote:Too bad Book Richardson didn't do our football recruiting.
Seems like every year there's one or two high 4 stars or even 5 starts that kind like us...but they get bribed away.
Just bribe those two guys, the two really good players that like us but get bribed away right at the end. Just match the bribe and keep them here.

Combine that with the talent disparity, and, well, you get what has happened thus far.WildcatStunner wrote:Oregon took RR and staff to school tonight

If Tate can’t run, we lose.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Tate has some weird footwork when he throws
Re: Game 11, at Oregon (2017)
This is what happens when even a mediocre coach has 2 weeks to prepare for RR. He is so over his head. And again, remember that it doesn't matter how many points you give up on defense.
i was going to put the ua/asu records here...but i forgot what they were.

When is the last time we had a really great defense? Late 90's when we had Chris McCallister is the last one I can remember.

Some of our early defenses under Stoops weren't actually that bad. We just had no offense.Captain Obvious wrote:When is the last time we had a really great defense? Late 90's when we had Chris McCallister is the last one I can remember.

Good Lord we can't punt to save our life.

Our entire WR corps is a bunch of 2 Star/Lightly recruited 3 Star players with a primarily MWC/WAC offer list

Yeah, this is why people don't go to games. Hard to take us seriously, even with Tate.

I'm guessing Aragon didn't make the trip since he's a walk on.
Fuck it, put DeBeer in to punt.

Yep, especially with our defense being as awful as it is. And teams with 2 weeks to prepare for a RR offense will always have the upper hand. He can't really scheme or game plan to save his life.Chicat wrote:If Tate can’t run, we lose.

I don't understand how you come to the conclusion it doesn't matter how many points you give up on defense? I guess I'm missing your point.

RRod needs to pull Tate..............the next game is all that matters now.

Specially with that knee problem. Dawkins can finish the game, and probably even punt too.

Re: Game 11, at Oregon (2017)
This is the first bad loss in the Tate era. Granted, they had two weeks to prepare, got their QB back, and are hunting for a bowl berth. We just fell apart and seemingly quit in the fourth quarter.

This is one of the reasons.TatetheGreat wrote:Yeah, this is why people don't go to games. Hard to take us seriously, even with Tate.
Our team can't get any momentum under RR, can't go on the road and beat a "big name" team to show the fans that we're not just a mediocre team that can occasionally pull the upset against a high ranked team.
But with out talent level and other issues, it is what it is.

Justin went to Cienega too - he knows:
Re: Game 11, at Oregon (2017)
What we should be striving for as a program is to not be mediocre since that is what we've always been. The baseline minimum for an acceptable season should be 8-4. A good to great season is 9-10 wins. I'm not satisfied with 3-7 wins a season like everyone else.mofo wrote:HATER, what do you consider a successful season? 7 wins? 10? 14?

He's harping on that because he had an argument with some other posters in a thread regarding the defense, and someone said that it doesnt matter how much the D gives up if the O scores more.Captain Obvious wrote:ASUHATER! wrote:This is what happens when even a mediocre coach has 2 weeks to prepare for RR. Hater would like a decent to good defense in addition to having a decent to good offense. Some people get mad when he calls the D bad.

Amazing the crowd left there. Arizona stadium would have been half empty after half time.
