I had thought that the traveling team brought their conference's refs, not sure if that's true or not but seems to make sense. Not that it ever helps Arizona.

Yeah, I wondered about that. In a way it's not as bad as seeing a Pac-12 Ref culture of ganging up on Ayton in conference play.

I am so impressed with Rawle. He is our best defender. He can handle the ball. Very good rebounder. Good outside shooter. Can drive the paint. I want the ball in his hands with the game on the line. All of this and he has only played a few games this season.

Agree, didn't see anyone blow by Alkins like they did Trier and PJC.
I thought Alton did a pretty good job on defense too, although the refs didn't think so.

Offensively yes. Defensively he was exposed. For a seven footer, he does a terrible job of protecting the rim. Although Ristic isn't totally to blame for our defensive problems, he is what he is. Miller really is in a quandary playing him. Offensively he is really skilled around the basket and makes shots. But damn, UCONN had about 15 2nd chance points tonight. Way too many and Ristic was usually the culprit.
Wow! Thanks for that. That gets my competitive juices flowing. I want to schedule every team that has a winning record against us and every team tied with us. Actually, many of them make sense to schedule, some as early season "buy games" and others as home and home. Xavier and Georgia Tech would have a great story line. I wonder if Bowling Green State and some others still have teams.

I read that too, Merkin, and have yet to see anything to the contrary.
So I wasn't alone. I've seen a few things so I know a few things, but there is no way I could spout all of the things from memory that Walton does. OTOH, I don't put my foot in my mouth as much as he does.

Pjc is a ghost in big games
His first 3 years, I didn't expect much from him away from McKale. I don't know what to expect this year, but he has lost money for RAP in 3 of the last 7 games. He came out even once, and earned money 3 times.
