That would be about the only one who would want him at QB I think.
Hopefully the guy they name will be someone everyone likes.

He’s a ballhawk and a hitter. Hits hard and has a nose for the ball. Good frame, size, and speed.

RR was juggling a lot of stuff to get back to Pima and their coach.

Text from booster: he was overweight his whole HS career and never got to see full potential. Solid route runner, great hands. Supposedly has lost weight since leaving Nebraska

It's interesting that two defensive players have no comment since Yates is staying and likely keeping all or most of the defensive staff.

I think you are reading too much into that. Some people may not want to make public how they feel. Or they may need to get to know the new staff first.

After seeing everything our current players have said the last week, I think the two guys saying no comment are two very intelligent guys. Or they hate Sumlin. But I'd rather imagine the first.

PJ Johnson still retweeting everything that is Arizona and Sumlin. Wasn't Armani Adams the one rumored to be leaving anyway?

Great athlete, good runner, average accuracy at best as a passer.
chief and I both think he'll end up at WR.

Good to know. I remember listening to Mike Leach on Pardon My Take and he said the one thing he looks for in recruiting a QB is accuracy. Hardest thing to teach.

Here is to hoping this never happens again... Two for UofA in the top 20, 2 for ASU (a few pending). Should never have that much talent leave the state.

There is just something about recruiting that can hype up a fan base. Getting your name out there. Free publicity.

If Sumlin can lock down Tucson and make inroads into Phoenix, he's won half the battle as a recruiter.

Yup. Arizona is still not a great state for football recruits but if we actually got 4-5 of the top dozen players every year instead of like 1, it'd give us a great head start on good recruiting classes.
i was going to put the ua/asu records here...but i forgot what they were.
i'll just go with fuck asu.

Did you guys notice his devious little smile when he said he knew a lot of people in Phoenix in reference to recruiting during the presser? He's gonna own the old man.

Does anyone have a good breakdown of exactly how many more guys we can add?
I saw Sumlin's comment on adding five or six more, but curious if that accounts for the guys transferring out.
22 commits, assuming all sign.
Wood, Rutt, Tharpe, and Griffen transfer out. May lose Dawkins. Was Tate on scholarship?
That's 7 between remaining spots and transfers out, maybe more.
Not sure how grey shirting works either.
Perhaps some spots filled via transfer in or juco route.
Thanks in advance.

Don't think Donovan Tate was on scholarship. He walked on, I think his baseball contract had the Padres paying for his school.

Gray shirts count toward the following class. So any gray shirts would be 2019.

Sumlin said that he would go after Hamilton and Chandler kids. I'm sure Saguaro is on the list as well.

Over the past year as 247 transferred from the Scout.com format. They also divided QBs by playing styles.
