While the Eagles just witnessed the importance of having an elite backup QB, they could be more enticed to cash in on Foles' sudden popularity and earn compensation for him this offseason.
Given the caveat in Foles' contract, his future seems fairly simple: He likely won't be in an Eagles uniform next season. Where he ends up is a question, but the Cardinals seem like a perfect solution. Arizona is a veteran team, and assuming Larry Fitzgerald does return next season, it has the offensive weapons to contend.

If I were the Eagles GM, keep Foles unless you can get a first or second round pick for him. If you can trade Foles and sign a good backup for less like a Hoyer (know he is signed with NE next year) or whoever Minnesota doesnt keep.

Big miss on Heeke.
Um not sure you have seen U of A Athletics and U of A Football's twitter last night and this morning but it is jam packed with Foles
Not to mention the billboards in Tucson, Phoenix, and Minneapolis with all the Arizona players.

It sure as hell is.
I've not spoken to one person yet today (who has even the smallest interest in sports) that hasn't glowingly and pridefully mentioned Foles and the amazing job he did leading the eagles to win the super bowl.
It's long past time to bring this back to the court, let's do it with a small update:

Even my sun devil colleagues acknowledged Foles today. He was fantastic. You have to wonder what Philly does at the QB position next year

Love it. commented in the foles thread in the main football forum....but I really do love how pederson has to stare at him for a couple seconds...trying to decide if foles is crazy or a mad genius for asking for the philly special.

How lucky are the Eagles to have Big Dick Nick Foles?

pretty lucky. also pretty smart to give him that contract they gave him, to make sure he wanted to come back.
Except they are now in the unenviable position of having to turn down next year’s team option. He’s such a good guy though that maybe he’ll renegotiate and save them the embarrassment.

The way the eagles have treated nick is why pro sports largely suck. Used to be if you where the face of and organ yak. And a winner it was your team. Now everyone is a commodity. Brady with the patriots might be an end of an era..

He'll renegotiate again, get more guaranteed money, and hang around.
