asu up 8 at the half. Cats need to beat USC tonight because it's going to be tough to beat asu next week.

Re: Pac-12 game thread
If we lose either tonight or @ASU, not sure a Pac title is in the cards. The Pac champ, whoever it may be, is about to heat up.
Re: Pac-12 game thread
Washington's tourney hopes just took a huge hit: lost at home to Utah. And the door is closing on Oregon. Needed a win vs. USC. Trojans needed the win more.
Looking more and more like UA, ASU, USC and maybe UCLA will get there.

Re: Pac-12 game thread
If asu loses 3/5 to the Oregon schools, the NorCal schools and in the first round of the tournament they are probably out. As is the best they can do is probably an 8 or 9 seed. Only reason they may get into the tournament is the sweep at home last weekend
i was going to put the ua/asu records here...but i forgot what they were.
i'll just go with fuck asu.

ASU will likely get a split on the Oregon trail. And will sweep Cal & Stanford. Pac 12 tourney is a crap shoot. But it would be funny to see ASU in the NIT after their 12-0 start.
Re: Pac-12 game thread
If they had lost one of the two games to Kansas or Xavier, they would probably be on the first out line right now. If they lost both, they wouldn't be mentioned.. They are 7-7 in a conference that is considered lousy (whether hat is true or not is another discussion).

7-7 in the PAC 12 is considered lousy. But yea take 1 or 2 of those big wins away and they'd be out

I know....Karma dealing them a pathetic loss and a huge nail in their coffin to miss yet another NCAA Tourney BUT Whiny Crying Tad Boyle still has that win over us to make him feel good at the NIT or CBI at the end of this year, lmao.AZCatGirl wrote:lol Rado

What a horrible last possession from the Ducks...trying to draw a foul and shoot a 3 instead of driving to the basket...they deserve to lose based on that crap.dovecanyoncat wrote:They've got a chance here.zonagrad wrote:Let's go Ducks!

Re: Pac-12 game thread
Was never going to get called. You can't throw your body into the shot on a game winning 3, but they should have never had the ball on that possessionBangkok Wildcat wrote:Agreed, he was fouled but home cooking didn’t call it.TatetheGreat wrote:Looked like Elijah Brown got fouled but instead it's going to OT.

Re: Pac-12 game thread
Agree on not getting that foul call at the end of the game as it was stupid to try to get it BUT it looked like Welsh touched the ball last from the spin of the ball AND there wasn’t enough proof to overturn the call on the floor either way IMO.MrBug708 wrote:Was never going to get called. Re: Pac-12 game thread
What I don’t get about that out of bounds call that they gave to Oregon:
Reviewing the play in slow motion from a lateral angle, it does look like Welsh could have possibly had his fingers graze the ball last by a fraction of a microsecond as the force from the Oregon player pushed the ball out of bounds. But how would the ref have seen that in real time? If the call had gone to UCLA originally, there’s no way that monitors review would have overturned it.
Also, that ridiculous over the back foul called on Welsh when he cleanly out rebounded his opponent....
That, by the way, was that awful official from Adidas and Dave Hall, so no surprise.

This game wasn't even close in the second half. ASU does not deserve a spot but I wouldn't be surprised if somehow they sneak in.

Re: Pac-12 game thread
What’s wrong with me that I don’t even feel sorry for ASU? They deserve us to feel sorry for them. They’re destroyed.
Re: Pac-12 game thread
hahahahaha that was fun to watch. Especially the ending.
