425 defense

Post by ANGCatFan »

Middle of this Wildcat Radio podcast does a good job talking about our switch from a 335 to a 425 defense. Not a huge change since we saw this frequently last year when the stud LB lined up as an end, but hopefully a change that lets us not get pushed around and actually have a pass rush.

I didn't see the link mentioned in the podcast, but their are multiple good articles and breakdowns of TCU's 425 available.

Looks like Yates will finally be able to play the defense he always wanted without the head coach pushing back on him. Thinking we see a much improved defense stats wise this year

335 just doesn't work.

Not as a base defense but it can work in some situations.

The D-line seemed significantly improved during the scrimmage.
