RAP question.
As the season goes on, participation in RAP seems to decline and people lose interest if they aren’t near the top of the leader board.
My question is : is there any interest to have a fee of $1 per game. With the winner of each game getting half the pot and half the pot for each game going to the overall winner. In the past we have had about 20-22 participants. So each weekly winner would receive $10 and the overall winner would receive $130 (with 20 playing). Everyone would pay $13 up front and have to have paypal or Venmo to pay/receive funds.
Im hoping this would keep participation up, as you would have a chance to win the weekly pot even if you are in last place.
I’m okay if everyone wants to keep it free too, just thought I’d throw it out there as an idea. Please post your thoughts here. We would have to get at least 20 people to make it worth it.

Re: RAP question.
This is going to be a little more interesting without an injury report each week.
Re: RAP question.
I think that's a great idea. I would definitely do that, and I've been one of those people that have fallen off in previous years. I'm ok either way. What did you do at the end of last year? I don't remember, but did it not have the intended effect?
Also, thanks for running it again this year!

Re: RAP question.
We did a tournament for the last two games, where for those games the scores rest to zero. I do think it helped a little and plan on doing it again this year. I think Sid won the tournament and carcassdragger won the overall.
I thought a small financial stake might generate some more interest. It may also create more bitching too. But I’d be up for it.

Re: RAP question.
I like free, but am one of the few that keeps playing even when out of it.
Kept more interested in other aspects of the game, like Greg said, I studied the injury reports with a passion.

Re: RAP question.
I would vote to keep it a free thing as well.
Side note, I think there's some legal issue with turning it into a paid thing. I'm no lawyer of course, but I think once you take in money for a prize at the end, you cross over some legal boundary and I don't know that we'd want to deal with that.

It's long past time to bring this back to the court, let's do it with a small update:

Re: RAP question.
Not a lot of support one way or the other, so we will leave it as it is.
