Re: 2019 Schedule Released
Don't you get an additional game if you play @Hawaii or is that no longer the case?
Re: 2019 Schedule Released
Another losing record under Mr. Unemotional. Depending on Tate I find it hard to see more than 5 wins on that schedule. Defensive line will take a step back probably and we will need to break in a bunch of receivers, especially finding a big target for Tate when he just throws it up.
Of course until I here our coach say that beating ASSU is goal #1 I won't be going to any games or supporting this regime. Miller, Rubio, Jay Johnson get my monies. Good luck Heeke and gang. #badfan

I don't see how we beat 5 wins again next year. Schedule is much more brutal, especially the 2nd half.

Re: 2019 Schedule Released
Makes sense. Since UA is already playing NAU, no need to pick up another FCS team since only one will count towards bowl eligibility.PHXCATS wrote:It is your choice, not a requirementMerkin wrote:Don't you get an additional game if you play @Hawaii or is that no longer the case?
Sure have room for an extra game though.

Re: 2019 Schedule Released
Well, we missed our window for a favorable schedule. The best thing about the 2019 schedule and what gives me a glimmer of hope are those byes interspersed.
Hoping for a lot better performance this upcoming year (like I hope for every year) and REALLY hope we don't see our team so under-prepared like we were this year against Houston.
Also, may we never again see a such a pathetic display of coaching by installing the prevent defense for an entire quarter.

Re: 2019 Schedule Released
Playing @Hawaii and not taking the extra home game, which is the sole benefit of playing @Hawaii is really dumb, but that's Arizona football for ya.

Re: 2019 Schedule Released
The bye weeks should help. We saw what this staff can do with a bye against WSU.
Re: 2019 Schedule Released
Shit. That's a 4/5 win season.
Re: 2019 Schedule Released
Yeah our ceiling is 7-5 probably. The floor is like 2 wins...but more likely than not I would put my money on us going 5-7 again.btfd16 wrote:Shit. That's a 4/5 win season.

Re: 2019 Schedule Released
Not a friendly schedule for a true freshman QB. Adding another gimme game for him would've been nice, but Arizona Football is dumb.
Re: 2019 Schedule Released
I'm going to be optimistic for no reason and say we go 9-3
I'm really curious about replacing Brown, Ellison & Poindexter in the receiving core.

Re: 2019 Schedule Released
Think I'll make the trip back to Tucson for the Texas Tech game.
Really stinks having to already dismiss next season's schedule as brutal when as a whole the conference is pretty blah. Those four traditionally better teams have huge uncertainties going into next season and a decently stable program shouldn't have a problem going 2-2. SC won't be any better under Helton, Stanford has plateaued under Shaw, Oregon is poorly coached talent, and ASU is likely in for another 6-6/7-5 season.scumdevils86 wrote:I don't see how we beat 5 wins again next year. Lev just posted an article. He said that UA payed Southern Utah $500,000 to come in and play at Arizona Stadium.
With next year's attendance expected to be just as low as this year, and probably lower, the UA can't afford an extra game.

Bring in a team you don't have to pay, and that UA fans actually want to see.

Re: 2019 Schedule Released
Real fans show up at the stadium on bye weeks and make paper airplanes out of $100 bills and fly them over the locked gates.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Even if you hop over the gates at night, don't open them from the inside for the rest of your friends.... Make every one hop. They are censored and the police will be called..... Nov. 16 at Oregon - L, revenge factor, we don't travel well
Nov. 23 Utah - L, they are better than us in all phases of the game
Nov. 29 (Fri.) at Arizona State - W, because I will never predict that we'll lose to them
