I know it’s football. But didn’t espn hire Urban Meyer?
The guy who hoax a known wife beater on his staff. Then denied any knowledge of it.
I believe the investigation showed he did know.

Waiting for Vitale to welcome Urban to the family

Look at the difference in coverage between "magical run by Auburn!"...while they had to sit two players who took payments vs "Sean Miller is a dead man walking" ...while there was never a solid indication he was involved - you can bet the house that any news on an Arizona penalty will be treated as A1 material.
I only care about potential sanctions and recruiting. Beyond that, at this point, I think I actually prefer being the bad guy. I'm pretty far gone on caring about being labeled.

If we're looked at as outlaws, we're in the West.

Spiff has the goods here, EatSHitPN has made its bed and had plenty of time and space to correct it, instead they have doubled, tripled and quadrupled down on Miller and UA's dirty guilt...the fact that Mark Suck A Donkey Schlabach still has a job there is proof enough they are afraid of the repercussions and the rest of the fan boys there have yet to retract a single condemning statement in spite of air-time posting Miller has to go...

The fact that OTHER programs have more than ample evidence of guilt and this fact has yet to make even a ripple in their news cycle tells me all I need to know about where they will be in the future.

Start a petition to put the "Fuq Espn Cactus" as the OFFICIAL logo on the court...do it now.

Couple things:

Auburn reportedly self sanctioned by not contacting or hosting recruits... except that they did host recruits (an entire AAU team took an unofficial during the middle of the “sanction period” including two eventual AU commits).

USC and Oklahoma State each hired a family member of a top ten recruit to the coaching staff and have received commitments from those recruits (OKSt is “in the top five” but is clearly the choice).

These guys are shameless but ARIZONA will be the headline every time.

I mean, Michael Porter Jr.'s dad accepted assistant positions at two different universities, both of which MPJ committed to.

It's front page news if Book says Miller is paying Ayton. If Miller had just hired Ayton's mom to be a special assistant at 10k a month, it would be no biggie.

Missing under all the Utah misdirection is the testimony that Kuzma received impermissible benefits while playing there...I mean his name WAS on that FBI sheet that included bank records and other documents...to the tune of $9500.00 but Miller payed 100k to get Ayton to come to Az when he was already enrolled...

facts are stubborn things...

At this point we need to stop referring to it as the "College Basketball FBI Investigation" and call it what it really is, the EatShitPN "make up shit" to take down Miller story...

Any other college BB scandal is to be ignored...THIS is the main purpose they exist.

I can count on one toothpick the number of articles they've pushed about other program scandals.

I'm happy with the Sumlin hire and the improvements for the football team (the practice facility is an absolute game changer). Baseball and women's basketball have also seen some very good hires. His handling of the men's basketball program has been less than impressive, but it's been a tough streak and he hasn't completely fallen flat.

Curious why some have such a strong opinion on Heeke.

Sumlin, Jay Johnson, and Adia Barnes were not Heeke moves. Sumlin was Robbins and the other two were hired by Byrne. Practice facility was happening with or without Heeke.

Even if Sumlin was Heeke, Sumlin is the classic retread that any AD could have scored. The IPF was happening...it had to.

Heeke's handling of the FBI/ESPN situation has been the epitome of lukewarm blah.

Sooooo the EastShitPN is willing to publish article after article based on the words of a convicted con man...but they won't publish even a hint of an article about Zions mom getting a fake job and him $35,000.00?

Even if you hate Avenatti you have to at least consider that there is something worth investigating...

https://www.dukechronicle.com/article/2 ... krzyzewski" target="_blank

One of the problems here is I hate Duke so much, but not sure I want to believe this completely because Avenatti also claims Aytons mom got money from Nike...

Its sort of a burn down your own house to watch FDuke burn scenario...

Or like watching your mother in law go over a cliff in your new cadillac...

Unfortunately, that response of some people on Twitter -- that Miller really is guilty because he's caught on tape -- is repeated even by U of A fans, to whom it's never occurred that no such tape has ever appeared.

This article lays out a very compelling case why its not wise to dismiss the Avenatti case sitting before SDNY...

I typically think Avenatti is a bit of an attention whore and really think there are some seriously questionable legal history here with him...

However...

If this goes to trial (looks like it will) and Avenatti gets to do his thing...there seems to be some evidence that Nike HAS been involved in paying families of players to get them into schools (including Aytons mom)...

Frankly I don't know...the whole pay to play scandal has been misinterpreted/rehashed and done to death as far as I'm concerned, but it seems clear on some level that the "pre-college" Nike/Adidas basketball train has been paying families and providing rides to and from the Big dog schools and Avenatti might be able to drag it into the light.

I found it interesting that what I originally thought was some extortion scheme by him was actually not exactly as presented by the media, the timelines of his involvement and actually what he has purported barely rise to the level of "extortion" in my opinion and I'm kinda surprised the SDNY pursued the case at all...seems big money somewhere is at play and regardless of the outcome there will be some evidence coming to light that is going to be bad for a lot of schools.

He’s done it elsewhere. Baton Rouge, for example. You gotta understand, he’s really lacking in self awareness. When he’s questioned about his inconsistent views, he acts like he’s under attack, and just starts lashing out at the hosts, the fans, and even the players.
