Watched an oldie but goodie last night: Office Space.

How prescient to today's political climate was the fourth verse of the song "Damn it feels good to be a Gangsta" written by the Geto Boys in like the early 90s and played to an montage of Peter breaking off the corporate shackles and going fishing with a late 90's Jen Aniston.

And now, a word from the President

Damn it feels good to be a gangsta
Gettin' voted into the White House
Everything lookin' good to the people of the world
But the Mafia family is my boss
So every now and then I owe a favor gettin' down
Like lettin' a big drug shipment through
And send 'em to the poor community
So we can bust you know who
So voters of the world keep supportin' me
And I promise to take you very far
Other leaders better not upset me
Or I'll send a million troops to die at war
To all you Republicans, that helped me win
I sincerely like to thank you
'Cause now I got the world swingin' from my nuts
And damn it feels good to be a gangsta

I played basketball alone at the JCC today for the first time in years. Three minutes in everything just clicked and it was like no time had passed.

Swish!

Swish!

Swish!

Swish!

Swish!

From all over the court, and with some mean handles. Nobody was defending me, but I had kept having to pull my shorts up, so I wasn't unchallenged. I was deadly.

What would happen if I join the league of dads with hairy shoulders?

It was pure 1920s genius to add several B vitamins to wheel bearing grease and sell it under a new name: Vegemite.

2 Wisconsin brothers went to Missouri on business. Now they are missing.

"They didn't make their flight," the mother of Justin and Nick Diemel said. "They found the abandoned truck on the side of the road with their carry-ons and that was it."

A 35-year-old father of four and his 24-year-old brother have gone missing after traveling from their homes in Wisconsin to Missouri on business.

Justin and Nick Diemel, 24 and 35, respectively, who own Diemel Livestock in northeast Wisconsin, were supposed to come home Sunday but didn't make their scheduled flight, officials said.

Their rental truck was found in a commuter parking lot in Holt, about 30 miles northeast of the Kansas International Airport, on Monday with no sign of the two men, authorities said.

Nick Diemel's wife said she spoke to her husband on the phone Sunday morning before they were supposed to visit a client.

thats so terrible - given the information in that article im wondering how the authorities actually found the bodies? if they were burned and distributed in a manure pile im wondering if they got an admission?

the one authority did say it was the toughest case to crack.

either way, very sad

Is their any way of life that does not involve having a cell phone? Or perhaps where cell phones are expressly denied as part of that way of life?

Going back to the lady who cuts my hair on Friday.

We go off cycle due to vacations and full schedules, so it’s been about 6monthe since she’s cut my hair and I’ve had to go elsewhere.

She also wen through a nasty divorce 2 years ago due to an adulterous husband.

Is this alley cat set up for a hatchet job of a haircut?

She's going to know you've been with another hair stylist. The key is to divert her focus with an even more shocking pronouncement. When you're in the chair and she's doing the look-over, tell her your undershirts are from Walmart and you post to a sports message board.

Ugh. I don't know why I don't make the time for a real stylist. Supercuts it is for me every 5-6 weeks. Possibly because it's 500 feet from my front door and convenience is always a selling point for me.

Well I had my make up haircut.

Conversation was a bit stilted as first, but warmed toward the end.

Gentle chiding about “staying away” but not mention/questions about where I went.

My excuse of us getting off schedule and vacations (including her three week annual burning man sojurn to which she admits to losing clients ever year) didnt hold much water.

Weird friendly interaction with just enough chill.

When flying, what’s your attitude toward take-off and landing?

Something to ignore?

Hardly even noticeable?

Slightly unnerving?

Fascinating and always worth watching out the window?
