Who’s turning against him? Beyond what he deserves for being a knucklehead? I’ve been on record as not being as impressed by him as others. But nobody’s saying we wouldn’t be better if he was bought in and still here. But he’s not and he’s not. So on to the next phase.

My take:

We measured the team at this point based on a high water mark of performance for Zeke, which was destined to revert to mean. Meanwhile, we can’t hit free throws or secure a rebound. Those three issues are killing us right now.

I feel like our free throw problems are mostly on the older guys. The freshman seem pretty good from the line.

Obviously Baker also has more upside than Smith since he's coming off injury and adjusting to the system.

I love Jeter's calming presence as a leader even when the clock is stopped.
Smith is much more composed this year. He's still going to dribble off his foot.
Baker is golden for the next couple years. What a get for us.
