I know no one will admit it but Todd Graham is a good coach. asu will probably be 10-1 when they play the Cats. Their schedule is home against Notre Dame, away at Oregon State and home against WSU.

Hate to say it but Todd Graham is good, easy path to the PAC 12 south title in a rebuilding year.

Damn that hurts, just been better then Rich Rod & beaten him twice.

Completely agree. The difference between RRod and the used car salesman is very simple:

asu has out recruited us badly on the defensive side of the ball, out developed us on the defensive side of the ball, and play a superior scheme which pressures the opposition.........completely unlike what Casteel/RRod run.

RRod is an excellent offensive coach but if he hopes to succeed outside the Big East he is going to have to upgrade his recruiting and his defensive coaches/scheme. I'm not sure he will ever do that (upgrade the defensive coaches) unless he is forced to by Byrne.

So now ctg is thanking the good lord for victories. Barf. And what's the deal with the glasses? Does he ever put them on or just hang them around his neck in an attempt to look smarter?

ctg leading the sun donkeys to another Pac 12 south title while Arizona is just good enough to give the fans hope and come up short. It's like Wildcat purgatory.

Of course the much hyped Utah kicker misses against ASU. Why would anything go our way tonight?

We are the Sun Devils son, and ASU is marching towards a third straight Territorial Cup Championship and I will be in Tucson at the Litter Box to watch it unfold!

Yep. And not that we should've been in those situations, but especially special teams. Jesus christ, we simply won't have a great season when our field goal unit is so inept. Both games where the offense sucked the FG unit sucked too, compounding the problem.

As bad as tonight was on offense, if we make either the missed FG or the blocked chip shot FG this is an entirely different game, cut it to a 7-point lead and the game changes dramatically, pressure gets put on UCLA, and who knows what happens! Frustrating stuff, especially when the opposite happens with ASU as they benefit from missed Utah FGs.

Edit: not trying to pile on special teams, skowron and co. have been decent this year. But in clutch situations we need the FG team to be clutch and they simply haven't. Good teams don't choke like that, they execute. Special teams matter greatly.

Stoops never got that either.

Same with Tomey. Remember the kicker (MacDonald?) that was 1 for 10 FGs before he was benched? Although Dick like to put a rush on the opposing punter and kicker.

When RR turns down Joe Rob, that national ST COY who wanted to return to Arizona, and gives the ST job to that high school coach you know ST are not really that important to him.

Same with giving ST players only a walk on status until they earn their scholarship yet stocking up on QBs that will never see the field as QBs.

Although I think the UA does have a scholarship kicker now, who couldn't beat out the walk on.

Riggleman had a good game last night, for a walk on punter anyway.

Meanwhile, ASU's kicker goes 4/5 (only missed one > 50), and after hitting 83% of his FGs last year is at 82.1% this year.

Skowron is at 66.7%, however has hit all his XPs, so take that Zendejas.

Too bad UCLA got Oregon and ASU missed. Arizona needs to beat ASU and UCLA has to win out for a shot at the S. Though we'd likely lose to Oregon, so maybe one less loss isn't so bad

I like your thinking but I am not sure we win any of the tiebreakers in a 3 team tie. Think we are done.

The ASSU gamee doesn't surprise me. They have been pointing to this game all year. We best get ready to watch Oregon and ASSU play for the opportunity to get in the playoffs
