There’s a huge body of work substantiating such a claim

the lopsided whistles are starting to piss me off
we were fouled right there and instead baylor makes a 3 with no call as they bang us around to get the ball back after our steal.

That play where we lost the rebound and they hit a three, their guy stepped fully on the baseline before that scramble happened. Meh.PieceOfMeat wrote:the lopsided whistles are starting to piss me off

The announcer's heads will explode when we win this game.

Our team is paper soft. Where is the nastiness is required. You don’t win without toughness on the road. Right now we have to many “cute” guys. We need to identify who is tough

Re: (M) Game 10, Arizona vs Baylor (2019-2020)
I dunno. hard to call us soft when any time Ira breathes on someone he gets whistled. Or when our two starting guards are freshman coming off of a week of little practice. Or when Nnaji tries to use his physical strength and gets whistled for bowling people over(hardly soft, maybe not smart the best idea though)azcat49 wrote:Our team is paper soft. I think we're not playing well, and we're settling for 3's that are way tooo far out there, and we have some issues like every team does.
I'm not seeing too much softness though

We're talking about toughness and the refs are calling touch fouls on us and Baylor gets to play with football rules

So Baylor defensive strategy is to foul the ball handler and force the officials to calls it.

Did you see Josh's face right there on the whistle? he turned around fully expecting the ref to have called a bullshit charge. that's how the refs have already conditioned him in the first 20 minutes with the whistles they've blown

Not going to go anywhere if we can’t hit free throws. Basically three straight misses in last 2 minutes.

I think the change needs to be more of a strategic nature. 24 points in a half won't get it done.84Cat wrote:Yep, coach needs a halftime shirt changeAZCatGirl wrote:I hope Miller brought a spare shirt.
Re: (M) Game 10, Arizona vs Baylor (2019-2020)
Agree to disagree. In that last huddle Miller yelled and called them soft. Those 50/50 balls, we lost everyone of those. Baylor is so much more aggressive and to me a lot of that is toughness. We play cute. Hopefully we learned a lot from that first half and whatever it was we get it corrected this halfPieceOfMeat wrote:I dunno. hard to call us soft when any time Ira breathes on someone he gets whistled. I love how even when we play better, they mentioned how Ira should've made those two free throws to end the half.
