Hot/Not subforum?
I notice the Hot/Not topics kinda dominating GD and pushing a lot of the other topics to page 2. What about a dedicated Hot/Not subforum? Thoughts?

I just use the "view new posts", so it doesn't matter to me what forums any thread is in.

I like it, even though I use the New Posts button like Merkin does. It seems like Hot/Not has expanded way beyond what the General Discussion forum can handle.UAdevil wrote:I notice the Hot/Not topics kinda dominating GD and pushing a lot of the other topics to page 2. Re: Hot/Not subforum?
It's only for these few weeks, but if you wanted to, we could have a babes-themed sub forum.
The next few weeks there will only be 4 threads per, then 2, then 1.

I don't like the idea of it being a sub-forum.
It should be the main forum.

I nominate a forum name of:
Babes & Psychology
Isn't that the point of Hot/Not? Group think? Individual preferences of aesthetics and why we hold prejudice for the babe based upon said preferences, plus external factors such as timing of babedom, roles of babedom, and even personality of babedom.
Babes & Psychology
Make it happen!

Slang for high quality and risqué, inferring the likelihood of boobs.
I was also thinking about, Forum 3 Babes, an homage to Page 3 Babes from UKs The Sun.

How would anyone know that? I just looked it up and I'm pretty sure that unless somebody lives in Memphis, Tennessee and also has no sense about the world outside of Memphis, nobody is going to associate that term with a children's hospital in Memphis.PieceOfMeat wrote:Beyond the french translation, It's a children's hospital.Longhorned wrote:Do I need to explain how witty this title is?Longhorned wrote:Le Bonheur

It's the first result in Google?
I knew it was french, but I still just pasted it into google first without doing a translate on it, and the first, rather prominent, result is the children's hospital.

Re: Hot/Not subforum?
Now just wait a cotton-picking minute here. That rather not-widely-known children's hospital is named after happiness (and I'm glad that it is), but by doing so it doesn't appropriate the universal idea of happiness. Happiness has to continue to exist independently in order to lend its meaning to hope in a family medical context.
I'm talking about a different kind of joy in a different context altogether. Google searches be damned, there is no association that anybody is ever going to forge with that institution, which is really only famous for being brought up in this very thread!

Unless they google itLonghorned wrote:....there is no association that anybody is ever going to forge with that institution....
I was just pointing it out since it' google's top result. I don't know how google's bots/programs sort their results, but I wouldn't want that hospital and our little forum (or rather, our proposed little sub-forum) to be tied together in any search engine result.
