4 Rhett Rodriguez
Rodriguez is a 6-0, 192, Junior QB from Tucson. He played in 7 games last year as the back-up QB with 1 start against ucla. Rodriguez had 43 completions on 83 attempts last year for 516 yards and 3 TDs. The depth chart released today has Rodriguez as the #2 QB, but he will likely have difficulty holding that spot. He is the brother of Arizona's former head cheerleader.
Re: 4 Rhett Rodriguez
Great to see he is still hanging in there. Going to be weird on Sr day seeing Rita and maybe RichRod walk out of the tunnel

Re: 4 Rhett Rodriguez
Like someone said in another thread, maybe Sumlin is saving Gunnell for next season so look for Rhett Rod to fill in the other 8 games barring injury to Tate.
Re: 4 Rhett Rodriguez
Rhett is the valedictorian of his class, graduating in 3 years from Eller. He will give his taped commencement speech online tomorrow at 9am. He will be in Georgia with his whole family and they will be watching.
He is an impressive young man and I think his parents should get a lot of credit for raising such an accomplished kid. I hope he sticks around and is a grad assistant for our program.
Great job Kid

Re: 4 Rhett Rodriguez
Grad transfer with two years of eligibility left? Go some place like Cal Poly and get some real playing time.
Re: 4 Rhett Rodriguez
Definitely he could go to some good level FCS school that actually is competing for titles and be the starter for two years while getting most of the way towards a master's degree.Merkin wrote:Grad transfer with two years of eligibility left? I don't like his dad, but Rhett turned out to be a very solid kid, and pretty dang smart as well. Wish him the best in whatever is next.
And yes, he really should do the grad transfer route. Even if sports are a question mark, he'd still get a scholarship to work on his Masters.
