Yuck
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Who wants to have to go to Hawaii every other year? Not that it's not a great thing, just expensive for ADs already financially hurting.

Also 0 chance the PAC presidents would let lowly CSU schools like SDSU and Fresno State into the mix with UC schools. Don't know how good UH academics are either, but that's why UNLV will not be getting into the PAC any time soon.

I think with the current landscape, BYU is about the only school that the Pac would consider academically, but there's a variety of other reasons that's unlikely.

That was my first thought too: why "Rocky Mountain" and not "WAC"

I could live with it if you swapped
* Arizona and Hawaii
* Nevada and Utah
* San Diego State and BYU

When it came up before, it was due to BYU's unwillingness to play on Sunday.

In football. In hoops we'd probably win every year.

But the years we didn’t win the conference tourney we’d be a shitty seed because our strength of schedule would be in the 150-200 range.

Bay Area schools weren't thrilled being associated with a religious school as well.

Not if the tourney was seeded regionally as it orginally was when only conference champions were entered. No reason to not simultaneously reconceive the postseason, too...
