That game sucked.

This team has some kind of faucet they like to turn on and off when they feel like it.
Either that or they just like pissing me off...

I think they like pissing me off. I was watching while cooking dinner. When I had my eyes on the screen, they were terrible. Every time I had to pull my attention away to make sure I wasn't burning something, they would make a good play.

So obviously they hate me.

Stealing this from a blog I read but the Rams should sign Will Parks now and trade for Deshaun Watson in the offseason.

Interesting. I must admit that if Goff doesn't turn things around quickly this is something I would back.
Watson's career stats are a whole lot better and I'm sure McVay would love to utilize his legs in his unique offensive playbook.

Rams D and offensive skill positions are built to win NOW. Don’t want to turn into the Bears and let the QB make them a .500 team and waste the best years of Aaron Donald’s career.

Watson has a huge contract as well but I just can't see the Texans giving up on him especially the way he is playing now.

So their contracts are basically a wash (both through 2024 with $110M guaranteed). The way they are playing isn't obviously. So if the Rams throw in a couple of future draft picks or a young CB/Safety, it could work. Texans get some future help and Rams get the missing piece.

Lol. I was going to say the same thing but add please keep talking crap about him because your reverse jinx seems to be working.

But you and I both know after a good game he's more likely to toss a stinker in his next game. And on Thursday it's Belichick and the Pats who are playing pretty damn good D lately. Not to mention how they stifled Goff and McVay the last time they met.

Yeah, earlier in the season, I was counting on both NE and the NYJ as easy wins down the stretch. Now the Pats seem to think they're making a playoff push, which doesn't seem likely, but I'm sure Belichick isn't telling them that. At least 3 of the last 4 are at SoFi. Not looking forward to the Seattle trip, though.

I REALLY wish the Pats hadn’t just been able to stay in LA this week. If they were flying in from the east coast I’d give the Rams 5-1 odds on winning this game. But without the travel I put this one at about even.

Ditto. Would have been nice if that type of performance would have occurred in one of their SB meetings but that was sweet to watch.
Certainly was the best defensive performance in years.
Loved how they pounded the Pats on the ground. Akers was fantastic but the line was opening up holes even my fat ass could get through.
Didn't need Goff to have a big game which is fine but I still am worried how they continue to go into a shell with a lead in the 4th quarter. I'm fine when they are backed up inside their own 10 or something but it still feels McVay doesn't trust Goff not to do something stupid.
Oh, and Hekker hasn't been very good the last 2 games. The Pats punter outkicked him big time.

Got my nitpicking out of the way...

Agreed on all counts, although with Hekker his value isn’t in having a big booming leg (he’s 17th in punting average so right in the middle of the league), but in pinning teams deep when the Rams stall in the middle of the field. His two fourth quarter punts were from the 19 and the 25. So no opportunity to pin them. Instead I think he was just trying to make sure he didn’t get them blocked.

That 18 play drive that took up most of the third quarter was a fucking work of art. McVay may not trust his QB to throw the ball late with a lead, but he does trust his offense enough to go for it twice on 4th down. Brings a tear to my jaded little eye...

I was surprised coming out of the timeout that they didn’t line up to try the FG but McVay must have figured that the chances of them going 96 yards against our D weren’t great.

But looking towards next week it will be interesting to see how much Goff plays. I'd actually design a few series/play for Wolford to change things up against a Seahawks team that knows the Rams offensive scheme very well.

I know our chances are slim but there's also no pressure as everyone is expecting Rodgers and GB to romp.

Obviously, we will lean heavily on the D once again. 3rd down stops will be critical.
