Smith is a 5-11, 222, redshirt Sophomore linebacker from Round Rock, TX. He played in 1 game as a true Freshman and then in all 5 games last year with 3 tackles. He provides depth at linebacker, but unless his production picks up he will have trouble making the rotation.

LB group is a mystery. Lots of young kids(Mojo Werts) and the Bowling Green transfer (Roberts?) and of course Pandy who I think will have a huge year.

I’m hoping the mistakes we see amongst that group are mistakes of aggression.
I’d rather see a kid run up into the wrong gap hard than see them get taken out at the second level by an OL or TE.
Saw way too much of the latter the last three years.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?
Supposedly the DC has said he wants to limit mistakes but if they are made to have them be mistakes of aggression. Pandy said yesterday they are far more physical and making sure they hit on every play. Should be fun to watch
