It's long past time to bring this back to the court, let's do it with a small update:
Re: Game 5, at Maui Invitational, vs Kansas St.
Anyone know of the commentators for the final? I can guess McDonough, who is alright...Fraschilla leaves much to be desired...but typically I thought Bilas was at the final...
Not that I'm looking ahead, but we should take care of KSU.

Not sure who the announcers are just as long as I don't have to hear Seth greenberg (who never won shit) and Jay Williams (don't get me started) talk about all of Arizona's deficiencies...my god.
I think 99% of the programs across the country would love to have our "problems".
Can't wait for them to eat crow in March.

Re: Game 5, at Maui Invitational, vs Kansas St.
KState jumped out to a big lead and dominated the first half against Purdue, but then went into operation laydown in the second half and nearly coughed up a sure win. I saw a little bit of the second half of that game, and some of their game against LBSU when they couldn't buy a bucket. I just don't know about them. I feel like our defense can really disrupt their ability to get good shots.
AZ - 71
KSU - 58

No kidding. I can only pretend to work for so long...I may actually have to start working to kill the time.

Re: Game 5, at Maui Invitational, vs Kansas St.
Purdue up big on Missouri. 60-31 with 12 mins left
Re: Game 5, at Maui Invitational, vs Kansas St.
As Chi said, two different KState games yesterday. Crushed Purdue 39/24 in the first half; could have given it away in the second. Their news on the frontline were mostly disappointing. New big guy Hurt looked okay but shaky. Other new, Bolden, MIA. Back court looks deep and fairly steady, especially Soph Marcus Foster who can handle, distribute and shoot the 3. Wouldn't be surprised to see Coach rotate TJ and RHJ on him if he's hot. Sweet player.
I think we put up a nice game today. Second tourney game is a good time.
Soft first half offensively vs Missouri yesterday, but a nice overall defensive effort. Tigers 2/13 from behind the line after going 8/9 against Long Beach State?! Our D has coalesced much quicker this year than I expected. I felt our NIck/Aaron hole would take more time to fill.
Win this tournament while putting up some big O from here would make a nice statement. Next two games should test us. Can't wait for this long day to speed up.

May have had the best defensive team a year ago? Sigh.

Kstate guards giving us trouble
Re: Game 5, at Maui Invitational, vs Kansas St.
Well it's not a slow start... but the defense is a bit off. Now if we can just put both together.

KSU won't even be awake by the second half.
Huffing and puffing for air. They can't keep up this energy. Expelling too much.
