Have I ever mentioned that I fucking hate conference tournaments? Why play 20 games just to play three more in a cash grab and get good players hurt?

Lute used to say it's great to see all the mascots together in one place. That was his nice way of saying there are no actual benefits.

What's so stupid about that comment (besides the obvious about openly rooting for or against teams playing each other in your conference) is that without Arizona attendance at your Conference Tournament takes a big hit.

He should have said it would be better for AZ, UCLA and USC to not win the tourney. By singling out AZ he looks like he is cheering for the LA audience or a 4th team

Sure agree with this. Never liked having to play for another league championship right after its been decided already and risk injury to teams right when they're trying to peak for the dance.

Right now though, I see it as a good thing that we can use the one or two Pac 12 tournament games to let Justin tune it up for the dance since he's sure to get more minutes than was previously planned.

I was telling my wife during the game that it wouldn't be really tragic if they lost, since it gives them more time to rest.

Still think that Lute never put his best effort forward during the PAC tourney, and especially the UCLA game during Lavin's final year since Lute liked Lavin (heck who didn't) and thought UCLA was giving him a raw deal.

Lavin had 6 straight tourney appearances, with 4 Sweet 16s and 1 Elite 8.

My friend use to work in management at the MGM Grand Garden and then T-Mobile when they first opened. The ticket thing wasn't a big issue since the seats were already sold. Why they wanted Arizona in the championship game was so that the arenas would be full and all the concessions they could sell as opposed to a half full arena.

I'm not as offended as most. If anything, he said the quiet part out loud.

It probably is best for the Pac as a whole to get a 4th team in. OSU's run last year helped the conference profile.

Of course, it still is one of those things you probably shouldn't say because it makes you look like you're not a neutral commissioner.

Yeah it could catch up to us but our luck against UCLA is more concerning. They just seem to always have our number.

I have 2 free tickets for the championship game if anyone wants them. Upper deck along the baseline. Got free tickets through a veterans website. I’m not allowed to sell them or transfer them or my account is suspended. I ended up buying better seats. Only downside is you have to go in when I do.

Coming back to school was the worst decision that kid has ever made. Instead of capitalizing on his flukish play in the tourney last year, he came back and showed the entire country just how average he is. He probably could've gotten a foot in the door with the G League. Kiss that goodbye.
