Yeah, but everyone at my house was saying it in the 5th. She had lost command She was frustrated on the one walk. Her curve didn’t seem to have much break.

I’m not trying to knock her. She has been pitching pretty well, but it looked obvious to me that she should have been pulled earlier.

IMNSHO, Hannah didn't look any different in this game than in either of her two shutouts in the prior two weeks. She pitched out of trouble in more innings than were easy!!

And. I think Caitlin, justifiably, agreed at the time!!

Hanah Bowen worked into and out of trouble all game. She had a runner in scoring position in the first inning, then gave up the go-ahead run in the fourth. After Palacios gave her the lead in the top of the fifth, Bowen promptly walked two batters and hit a third to load the bases in the bottom of the inning.

Bowen escaped the jam in the bottom of the fifth and was sent back out in the bottom of the sixth with her team still leading by one. A walk and a single put two on with no outs for Karli Petty, who sent the 2-2 pitch out of the park and gave the Cowgirls the 4-2 lead.

Bowen has worked out of jams all postseason. So, there was no thought given to removing her after the fifth.

“I thought when she got out of (the fifth inning), it rolled her into the next one, and I thought she had the stuff to get through them,” Arizona head coach Caitlin Lowe said. “Really...they capitalized on one pitch. We’ve been living on that one pitch this entire postseason, and they had it tonight.”

Hanah has always had control issues. Lowe made the right choice in keeping her in the game. You go with your best pitcher. I would rather have Hanah on the mound in a one-run game rather than a young Netz.
The game is over and now all focus on Oregon State.

Tough loss - the team battled hard and Bowen's wildness finally caught up with her. Frustrating because a lot of those walks came after she got ahead of the batter.

No matter what happens, I'm still proud of this team overcoming a tough regular season to get to the WCWS.

Damn, we sure made that an interesting win! Glad Bowen was able to close it out, but the defense really got the win for us tonight with a few amazing catches.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought that. That ump’s zone got more and more inconsistent as the night went on. Around the 4th, I was complimenting him. Good on the ladies for moving on!!!

The one thing consistent with college softball is the inconsistent calls from the home-plate umpire. If there is a sport that should use the computerized strike zone, it's college softball.
Finally, when Meono bats for the first time in every game, she should purposely erase the inside part of the batter's box. It's basically gone anyway by the end of the second inning.

Good call Irish. Every game she gets called out for leaving the box it appears.

She also swings at bad pitches, she needs to work on that as a leadoff batter.

If she is stepping out of box, she is probably swinging at a Ball.
I’m so surprised that this is still an issue this last in season. But maybe it doesn’t get called during regular season.

I think that happened to Fowler, went all season with nobody saying anything about her delivery, then got to post season and the umps started calling it.
