They went 2/20 from three and can't get a defensive rebound. How is that getting out coached?
That defensive game plan to make us take 20 threes. You have to give their coach credit for that. He had a plan and got his players to execute it

Need Larsson to play better, need Bal to do something positive.

Get it out of the way now, circle February 16th.

Did they just travel to Utah from Hawaii and spend the whole week prior partying? Oof
Good thing this ain't football and we still got a long season.
But yeah Larsson has been MIA this whole season and Bal is going to play himself off the court.

Hard to believe Larsson was in the conversation for PAC POY.

Missing 24 3 pointers, what's the UA record?

What Tommy Lloyd, Courtney Ramey and Oumar Ballo said after Arizona’s loss at Utah

Lloyd on the poor performance: “I don’t have a secret formula that means that everything I touch wins. We got to go out and we’ve got to earn victories. We came out today and we didn’t have a great approach. Whether it’s the guys being a little bit intoxicated off their success, or the things people are saying to them, I don’t know, but we’re definitely gonna have to address it and we’re gonna have to play better than we did tonight.”

They sagged off of Zu and packed the middle. We're going to need to hit the 3 to open up the middle

Some consistent 12-14ft jump shots/shooters would really help our team in a situational game like this.
Ballo or another big being able to hit a free thrown like jump shot really improves our options too.

I disagree with coach’s substitutions last night. I don’t feel Veesaar does anything acceptably well at this point and Tubelis needs to be challenged to use some strategy to give himself and the team improved options at both ends of the court. The press worked, but was employed too late in the game.

I’m disappointed in Larson’s regression this year. I wish he worked on being the best on ball defender in the Pac and becoming a mid range catch and shoot player.

Bal is unfortunately terrible. He shows the ball when he dribbles and doesn’t use his length to play defense. He needs a tear drop shot and a mid range game and needs to move without the ball. His length could be useful for defense, if he decides to play some

Bal hit some huge 3s last season, especially against UCLA. He was almost automatic as a catch and shoot threat. I have no idea what happened. I think Larsson will get his shit together. He was a net positive for most of last season and played well in FIBA this summer. Tubelis is basically who he has always been. He still doesn't stretch the floor or play much defense. Kriisa is still streaky as hell and aside from taking a charge, cannot defend anybody. I like what Ramey has shown, but I'm lukewarm on Henderson. The rest of the bench is super young and it shows. Maybe this game was a reality check. I'm happy to overachieve again, but Tommy needs to build a winning team if he can't mold one.
