Welcome Nick!
Competing offers from Boise St, Colorado St, Air Force, Army, Fresno St, San Jose St, UNLV, Utah St, and Washington St.
His profile lists him as ATH. From the article on which positions the coaches are targeting for him: "Fernandez is a jumbo athlete and a player we think could play three and maybe even four positions at the next level. He plays tight end and defensive end for the Pirates and was recruited as an edge rusher by then Wildcats. “They see me as an edge rusher with pass rushing responsibilities and I’m definitely good with that," Fernandez said."

Re: 2023 Recruit/Commitment Thread
Lomu committed to Utah a couple days ago. This class is looking a lot more like the 2021 class than the 2022 class... Super disappointing.
Re: 2023 Recruit/Commitment Thread
Certainly doesn’t look like it will be as highly ranked but with so many defensive players it is addressing needs.
I think the big question is who leaves for the draft and then who remains with us. Big questions there Imo.

Arizona offers JUCO defensive tackle
Re: 2023 Recruit/Commitment Thread
We either just got another commitment or its a signal that the entire defense has entered the portal

May want to watch the Bishop Gorman game today on ESPNU or at least watch at halftime.
Re: 2023 Recruit/Commitment Thread
4 star WR, a speed burner who is deciding between Oregon and AZ. Played with De Laura at some point and it looks like we have a real shot at getting him

Yeah and 3 crystal balls put in for him this morning for Arizona. He's announcing at halftime of his game.
Re: 2023 Recruit/Commitment Thread
We are going to flip a Bama recruit. An offensive tackle in a huge upset on signing day (well at least I think we will)

Re: 2023 Recruit/Commitment Thread
Well to be fair if it happens it's because Bama is going to flip a 5* OT from another school.
Re: 2023 Recruit/Commitment Thread
Will be great either way if we get him. He and Elijah Payne are two much needed tackles. Hoping they can keep big Jonah inside and that these kids can grow up fast

I don’t care if it’s because Antonio Pierce banged his mom. We need talent on the lines. Bama’s loss is our gain.ChooChooCat wrote: ↑Sun Dec 18, 2022 6:54 amWell to be fair if it happens it's because Bama is going to flip a 5* OT from another school.

Oh hell yes
Re: 2023 Recruit/Commitment Thread
Not Arizona's first time with the Upland HS talent, Nathan Tilford was another highly regarded kid out of Upland, before following an AC to different school his senior year. Good grab for you guys, he's an athlete, just needs to figure out the football part of it. Lanning, Tim DeRuyter, and Andy Avalos were unable to. Wish we could have have been in play for him.
Re: 2023 Recruit/Commitment Thread
When was the last time the UA went into Southern California and got the LA lineman of the year??
Re: 2023 Recruit/Commitment Thread
Boom and there it is. Incredible pull by Carrol. These guys are just relentless recruiters which is do refreshing.
I didn’t know he projects as a guard so maybe big Jonah will move outside and this road hog will play guard

Don’t get me excited.
Although I expect nothing less from Jedd Fisch, the king of the offseason.
Re: 2023 Recruit/Commitment Thread
Was offline all weekend, great to log in and see the recruiting gains! Big OL and much needed transfers at key defensive roster spots - come one, come all!
