Is this a performance decision or injury decision?

I don't think he's practiced much this week.

I hope Singer has a career game. He was wise to transfer and get the exposure he is at a real football program. He could have broken every NCAA receiving record in history at Arizona and no one would even know. Just proves how irrelevant Arizona football is and has been for decades.

Kind of like you as a poster. Captain irrelevant

Re: Arizona at USC discussion thread
Really good! I know what JDL brings. But I want to see what Fitita brings. He is short but smart. I want to see what he brings to the table. I am optimistic that he can be a force with experience. The Cats can win this game. The Cats are still underrated. They are better than most people think. I have confidence we will make a bowl. We are a good time in a conference that has good teams. I believe in Fisch and we will make noise in the future. Hopefully we can make a mark this season. Fisch is the best coach since Tomey. Big game. Fisch can put Arizona on the map. Robbins made a great choice in Tomey (and Lloyd). This is a big game tonight and can be program changing. If we win, I believe Rushing stays.
I may not be able to comment during UA games. I work second shift at a hospital (for now). Still...I believe in football and basketball this is a special season for the Cats. If this works out, the Cats are coming of age. They can make a name for themselves. I am looking forward to tonight's game. The opportunity of the Cats winning this game (I believe this is possible) is off the charts.
On a personal level I enjoy following the Cats. And when we enter the Big-12 we will be in really good shape.

You know for damn sure Fifita won't be running a QB sneak with 15 seconds in the half with no timeouts left and not even telling his teammates.
Fifita is really good at driving the team down the field. Take the ball if you win the coin toss, and more than likely USC will defer if they win to get field position.
Then have a slow methodical drive down to score with 6-7 yard passes. Cats have to score in the 1Q.
Then when the DBs and LBs start creeping up to the line to cover the short passes start looking downfield.
One thing that has always bugged me is that 80% of the games seem to start with a handoff up the middle. I understand everyone has butterflies, and this is a good play to calm everyone down, but it's hard for the Cats to go 2nd and 8 after the first play.
JDL is a play maker, and can toss it deeper than Fifita perhaps and runs better, but JDL is also last (first?) in the PAC in turnover potential. Reminds me of Brett Favre in that capacity. Dan Fouts too. Those guys sure could sling it.

After this scare we've probably scared USC from ever scheduling us again.

I love how USC dropped a spot in the AP poll.

But, U of A is up to #54

It took a few weeks, but I’m buying into Arizona’s improvement this season, despite its consecutive losses. The Wildcats stayed within arm’s length of Washington, losing by seven, and they nearly beat USC in overtime this weekend. They also lost to Mississippi State in overtime. So the Wildcats cautiously move up from No. 81 to No. 54, but one bad loss could reverse that.
