As far is UA sports go. This is one of those games Cats fans live for. A special night. It can be glorious or devastating. I favor the former. Why? Because next season we should be better. This isn't a championship for Arizona, it is a statement game. Jedd Fisch and staff will be compensated. But this game matters. It can put UA on the map, and we will probably be the favorites in the Big 12 next season.

When you look at momentum and who wants to play in this game the most, the Cats win. This game is special. For me, if we win this game, we can put the Penn State embarrassment in '99 behind us. The Penn State game was the most embarrassing game I've seen since following the Cats. But...Now is an opportunity. We win this game and all that can be put to rest. Big game Big big game, at least for the Cats.

I have been watching Arizona since '79 - and even attended that infamous game in Happy Valley - so with that experience of watching Lucy pull that football away over and over again I will never pour all of my red & blue heart into 1 game.

I now look at Arizona football like a new bottle of wine. If I open it and it's dull and flat with a sharp bitter edge, I just dump it down the drain and go on with my life. But if it has intense flavors with a lingering finish I will sit back, smile and enjoy the moment.

But that's just me...

Here in another hour I'll be driving over for an Alamo Bowl watch party at a Pacific Beach sports bar to meet up with the Beach Cats, Arizona's alumni group for the San Diego area. After the last few seasons, I'm content to just be playing in a bowl.

Doubt the Sooners are in a very good mood playing in a sub prime bowl game against an inferior opponent. Nevertheless I'm proud of the U of A this year and the improvement in the program. Fisch has already proven himself and will be ready when he upgrades to a better program. Just not sure we're ready for an opponent like Oklahoma. This team has worked so hard and I really hope they win tonight. Bear Down!!!

Highest attended Alamo Bowl had Texas A&M in it so proximity really helped.

It seats 64k for football so I hope it’s at least in the high 50’s. If it is you would have to think that would mean 30k Oklahoma fans and 15k AZ fans with the rest the locals that support the bowl

Will be interesting to hear from you guys at the gane the fan number breakdowns
