The Husky job will be his 16th in the last 23 years, and when you look at his history, the longest he’s ever been in one place is the three years he spent in Tucson.

I don't consider either UDub or Jedd to be a "rival".

The only way we play them in the future would be in a CFB Playoff - the paradox there/then would be that Jedd would be a success at UDub.

I hope we never play them, no matter how many CFB playoffs we make!

If one of their charters crashed, I wouldn't care anymore than I would for any random team....

Took me 20+ years to stop being pissed at Larry Smith. Only reason I stopped being a hater is when he moved back to Tucson and volunteered to help the UA football program.

I don't expect Fisch to ever set foot in Tucson again.

I have a new respect for Humberto Lopez. I had always just thought of him as a greedy developer. But what he has done for the Gospel Rescue Mission at the old Holidome and what he has done and is doing for the UA has really made me respect him a lot

So glad when this guy is fully in our rear view mirror. Couple of things, one, he will never coach Florida. He burnt bridges there and won’t be a candidate in the future.

Two, I don’t think he coveted the UCLA job as much as is being reported. Fan support and NIL are non existent. He knew that this job would be very difficult to succeed at the level desired

I think he really felt our job was unsustainable for long term high level success. Just not enough money being pumped into the program. He made lots of recruiting in roads promising but not delivering NIL wise and no big booster really wants to contribute in that way

Just hired Beliecks kid for Defensive Coordinator. He was a great coach for us but he has his worked cut out for him. That doesn't mean our new coach will not be as good. Fisch has an overall losing record and it was a huge gamble of Washington's AD to gamble on one years success.
This is the the guy that lost to Miss. early in the year and they fired their coach. We will see what is in store. Needless to say he will charm the fans and former players but that won't help beat some of the teams in his new league.

He will win at UDub I have no doubt. He is a very very good evaluator and his scheme is solid.

He may not beat Oregon and Ohio St every year but he will have UDub at 9 wins a season consistently

That is a stretch for the near future. How long will UW fans be patient? He has a good scheme but so does Michigan, Penn State and Ohio State along with USC. Not sure how good of an evaluator he is when he couldn't identify the best players on his own team till forced to.
