Just because they're in the transfer portal doesn't mean they'll all leave.

Are you of the opinion that if a coach leaves the players he recruited and signed should be shackled to his former program against their will?
If the players feel "shackled" to a school then they should never have signed with that school to begin with. Recruits should sign with schools, not coaches,

At the very LEAST, former coaches should not be able to poach players from the school they left.

That doesn’t make any sense. How would a player feel shackled before they even sign (and then in your world can’t leave)?

Coaches run systems. Coaches teach the game in different ways. Coaches recruit kids who fit their systems and teaching philosophies. Schools don’t do any of that.

Can’t blame any of the kids but I had a dream last night. All these kids who went in the portal, they told Fisch they were coming and then at the last minute they stayed and told Fisch, “karma Bitch”.

It was a nice dream

I feel the same. If coaches get to leave at will, then the players certainly should have a 30 day window to also leave.

Although I am certainly not a fan of unlimited transfers.

Jedd is all about that kid.

He’s not interested in Feef. Which means TMac is safe, IMHO.

It appears that Humberto, Fifita, Manu and TMac are really trying hard to recruit guys to stay. Is that a fair statement?

I keep seeing tweets where someone says the players only meeting or the desert edge meeting is making progress. Is anyone hearing that this means these guys in the portal might come back?

If Feef, TMac and Manu stay - there’s a chance not many leave.

TMac could get fat stax anywhere - if he’s willing to pass on that for the team, big deal.

No one is coming here from anywhere until they find out who the assistant coaches are going to be. I understand SJSU is taking their sweet time about picking a new head coach but several assistant coaches are wanting and interviewing for that job before they jump ship and come here, But Brennan needs to kick this pig in gear and get going.

LOL...I learned something from a guy who worked on my house in Tucson who also worked for a big construction company. They'd put rebar in the gaps of block walls for the inspector to see, who assumed they'd then fill with concrete. After passing inspection, they'd pull them out, put on the cap stones (no concrete) and use them again, and again, and again. I ran into one of those (chasing a basketball), and it gave about a quarter inch. Did the same thing in the other yard chasing a high throw from my son, expecting the same outcome. But this was against a wall built by the guy I mentioned; it was solid as a boulder. I was down on the ground for a while. So, a tale of two walls. Don't be like me and try this at home.
