Ryan is better than what they have right now even though she has not pitched and Netz brings that senior leadership. Plus having Netz's bat in the line-up would of helped.

We have no idea how good Ryan will be and with her height and lack of speed on her fastball, I'm not exactly expecting anything better than we currently have. We already know Netz isn't anything special on the mound, although yes, I agree her bat would be nice to have.

I just don't see anything changing with this program any time soon. We'll have solid field play and solid bats, but pitching will remain mediocre at best and we in turn will not compete for national titles any time soon.

I was talking with Skaggs' parents this past March and they told me Ryan is the real deal, so I will believe what they said. Also, Netz might not have had great numbers last year, but she is better than any of this year's pitchers.

That's fair about Netz, but I do think this team misses her leadership on the mound.

Also, I have been a fan of Silva but it seems when she pitches against good teams, there are many times she can't stay in the game that long. They need her to be able to go 6 innings or more. I know she should actually be a freshman since she joined the team early, but I was expecting to she her put up better numbers. Hopefully she will make that jump next year.

Finally, this team has the offense to beat any team, but it usually comes down to pitching. If the pitching can somehow keep the runs to 3 per game in the postseason, and I know that is a big if, I like their chances of getting to a super regional.

Oklahoma State beat Michigan 4-1 and if the Cats hold on, they will play in Stillwater for a shot at the World Series.
