40 Jared Small
Small is a 6-0, 220, grad transfer linebacker from Tulane and Baton Rouge, LA. He was a true Freshman at LSU in 2017 and is a good case study on how to play the most years of college football. Small at LSU had a redshirt year, a COVID year, and 2 years lost to injury year after moving himself up to starting linebacker. He only played last season at Tulane and he had 55 tackles, 1 sack, 4.5 tackles for a loss, and forced 1 fumble and recovered a fumble. Small should immediately be a factor in the competition for the 2nd linebacker.
