Finding out now because with Netflix announcing their follow up to their Dahmer crime-drama with a high-production series focusing on the Menendez Brothers murdering their parents, this detail started floating around again:
Wikipedia with further details: "The Menéndez brothers are seen in the background of the 1990–1991 NBA Hoops' Mark Jackson basketball card in which the New York Knicks point guard is seen making a bounce pass and they appear to be sitting courtside behind Jackson. In December 2018, eBay began terminating any auctions in which they are mentioned in the listing. The New York Knicks played 28 games during the period when the Menéndez brothers went on a spending spree after the murders of their parents. Some eBay sellers have continued to sell the card and have also altered the images accompanying the listing so that the Menéndez brothers are neither mentioned in the listing nor seen in photos of the card accompanying the listing."
This was my go to basketball cards growing up, I probably have no less than 5 of those Mark Jackson cards.

This video shows the bizarre looking sight of a hyena walking on two legs. We spotted this hyena for the first time nearly a year ago, as seen in this previous video https://rumble.com/v1h0owx-safari-touri ... -legs.html While hyenas have a reputation of being scary looking and dangerous animals, they are for sure some of the toughest animals out in the African bush. Hyenas are the main scavengers of the African bush and the number one enemy of lions. It was during a recent safari that we came across this bizarre looking hyena, walking around on two legs. What made this sighting even more special was that we spotted the same hyena almost a year ago. I was really amazed and happy to know that the hyena was still alive, still surviving on its own and doing fine, despite of its disability. Surviving in a hostile environment such as the African bush is remarkable for an animal that can’t even use all four its legs to hunt or run away from danger. This hyena very well knows what danger is. The hyena lost the function of its two back legs after it got attacked by a lion, leaving its hips and two back legs in a paralyzed state. The hyena had no other choice but to adapt and so it learned how to walk in such a strange looking manner. This is not something you see often out in the African wild. We can only hope that this hyena will keep going and survive out in the wild on its own.

lol! Obvious AI generated article is obvious. Unfortunate for Mr. Kramer however.

Dennis Kramer handed away on Sunday night on the age of 31. He misplaced his life because of the accidents sustained in a harrowing automobile accident in Gottingen. Native authorities, as reported by a number of sources in Germany, have acknowledged that Kramer didn’t survive the accident.

A number of German golf equipment shared within the mourning with posts on social media platforms. In the identical context, the German Basketball Federation, DBB, pledged to honor his reminiscence.

Sounds sorta like it should have been about a Nigerian Prince needing help ex-patriating his inheritance.

If it has a top, it's an aquarium. If it doesn't have a top it's a swimming pool.

Just heard that on a TV the wife and I were watching a few nights ago. Think it was The Good Doctor where a lonely patient was prattling on to the staff about her husband.

Chechnya bans all music deemed too fast or too slow

https://www.cnn.com/2024/04/08/europe/c ... index.html

CNN — Authorities in the Russian Republic of Chechnya have announced a ban on music that they consider too fast or slow.

Minister of Culture Musa Dadayev announced the decision to limit all musical, vocal and choreographic compositions to a tempo ranging from 80 to 116 beats per minute (BPM) at a meeting Friday, the Russian state new agency TASS reported.

I don’t blame the umps. By my count there were 14 defensive players in “where the fuck are you going???” positioning. Hard to keep track of all the bullshit.

EAU CLAIRE, Wisconsin — Wisconsin is known for its devotion to the dairy, but police in Eau Claire say someone took that to an unusual extreme earlier this week, aggressively throwing cheese at someone else's car.

"Last night we responded to what might have been the most Wisconsin complaint ever," police said.

The incident happened Monday around 9:45 p.m. Police say officers were sent to check on a report from a driver that someone had been chasing them down. The caller said that the person then threw cheese at their vehicle.

"Not gouda," police said. "It's un-brie-lievable that someone would do that. Throwing cheese is nacho best look."

The Facebook post police shared was met with a number of pun-laden responses that were, dare we say it, cheesy.

"No throwing 'sharp' objects! Thats a Swissdemeanor," user Joanna Jinks said.

"No whey! Imagine cheese flying pasteurize while driving," added user Barb Hagen

Officials probe death of Wells Fargo employee found dead in her cubicle 4 days after last scanning into work

https://news.yahoo.com/news/officials-p ... 04649.html
An employee who spoke with KPNX on the condition of anonymity said a colleague found her at her desk while walking around the building and that several people had smelled a foul odor, but believed it to be faulty plumbing.
Wells Fargo had probably signed her up for so many fraudulent accounts that she had to work 24/7 to pay for all the fees.

Just shuffle-boarded a 4' rattler out of our garage. In the dark beneath our headlights as the garage door went up it slithered into the garage and underneath the other car. I got a push broom and as it emerged over by the far wall I gave him 15' ride. My wife is still bouncing off the walls.

I used to think I might retire somewhere near Portal in the Chracauhuas. Things changed after I took a herp course over there and realized how freaking snaky that area is.

I was with all these people in the Portal area and they're overturning wood and rocks.looking for and finding snakes. Yikes! I was just trying to get through it with my ass in one piece.

That's cool country, and proper gear would mitigate risk. But the requisite vigilance is taxing for sure. I had a contract along the Middle Fork of the Boise river breaks and the damn snakes wore me out.

Yeah to me, they are the biggest robust snakes.

FYI, I've visited and birded the Portal area over 100 times and camped at Cave creek ~25 times and never saw a snake less than 25 feet from me. Just, as they say, sayin'...

Yep. Some places seem to me to have magic in the air when I visit. The Yucatan peninsula is like that for me and so are the Chiracauhuas.

Went to Cave Creek a couple of years ago and while sitting on a boulder having lunch, we counted something like 10 species of trees within a few feet of us.

I damn near sat on a baby rattler in upper Cave Creek while on a backpacking trip in 84.

If you drive around at night in late summer, you see quite a few snake enthusiasts poking around looking for snakes on the roadways.

The diversity of wildlife there truly is astonishing. There're three kinds of quail, two species of deer, likely 3 or 4 species of skunks, javelina, a high density of bears, turkeys, lions, bobcats, tropical birds, many species of snakes, ringtail cats, and many more. Maybe even, (shhhh)- ocelots and jaguars.

Cool that you're a birder P.C. I'm very casual at birding and not at all good at it.

On that backpacking trip in 84, we layed on our backs in Cave Creek and watched a sulfer-bellied flycatcher and a trogon vying for a nest site in a tree above us. A rare sight in the U. S. indeed.
