Anu & RichRod
Would post in the Fiesta bowl thread but this is more of a 'general' question regarding Anu and his relationship with RichRod...
First, is Anu going to indeed be playing given his injury/recovery?
Second, any idea if the relationship between the two has been at all strained given what happened at the Championship game?

Re: Anu & RichRod
By all accounts AS is improving health wise and will be as vlose to 100 as he has been since the start of the season.
I have not heard anything about Anu being upset that he was pulled or that his relationship has deteriorated with RR

Re: Anu & RichRod
In the last practices before the team left for Christmas break, was Anu practicing? And is he out of his walking boot now?
Re: Anu & RichRod
Limped his way onto the court at McKale during the Mich game but that was 10 days ago. RR said he expected him to be at 100%

Why do you ask?mytwocents wrote:Second, any idea if the relationship between the two has been at all strained given what happened at the Championship game?
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Not sure...maybe I heard mutterings or maybe I just have a bad taste in my mouth after that game... Seemed Anu felt really responsible and carried all the weight on himself for the loss and would have maybe thought that by the time he publicly apologized to "us", the team and staff would have made sure there was ZERO reason for him to feel that way especially if he was hurt.Chicat wrote:Why do you ask?mytwocents wrote:Second, any idea if the relationship between the two has been at all strained given what happened at the Championship game?
And just wondering if Anu's going to be there mentally assuming he's there physically for the bowl and next season....
Re: Anu & RichRod
I see no reason to think there's a strain between the two. Solomon was playing hurt and that injury limited the things that have made him successful this year. He was talking about feeling responsible because he knows he didn't play well and he's a competitor; while I'm sure the guys did what they could to pick him up, he's not making excuses for not playing well. Pulling him at halftime was the easy call. No sense in leaving him out there when he's already obviously limited and risk further injury.
Re: Anu & RichRod
The kid is a natural born leader. Taking responsibility for the offense's lack of production is what the QB should always do, though clearly he was not the only one who under-performed. As RR mentioned early in the season, Anu has more natural leadership ability than most you will ever meet.mytwocents wrote:Not sure...maybe I heard mutterings or maybe I just have a bad taste in my mouth after that game... He was out in the second half simply because physically he could not perform, plus the game was out of reach. No sense in keeping him in, especially with another game left in this terrific season. Bonus: Scroggins got to play a lot on national TV.
From my perspective, it is all good, especially between RR and Anu.
Go CAts!!
