Yeah - this five man group is awesome to watch. The ball movement, athleticism, slashing ability, and three point shooting is something else.

So we start the year 0-5 vs quad 1 and we are now 6-6. Quite impressive

A win on Sat gives us over .500 in quad 1 games

Just taking some time to gel and some bad luck

Adjusted offense and adjusted defense are good and they are a top team with those combined

As far as the agendas go, there is obviously more behind the scenes than we know in terms of Byrant's playing time

Arizona will be fine. They will win lots of games going forward and they will make the tournament

Cool. Glad the game was pushed back 30 minutes for no reason.

Thankfully it's a Saturday night so not a huge deal, but still annoying.

Still trying to decide on the espn move. Was expecting more primetime Big Monday/Tuesday games on ESPN for exposure and the production level on the ESPN+ is lousy and imo significantly below that of the P12NW. I miss Walton and Pasch as well course that isn’t ESPN’s fault (RIP Bill). Maybe Arizona has caught a bit of “newcomer’s treatment” like Lloyd alleged with the schedule. Am grateful that Arizona’s and ESPN’s interests are aligned and for what I assume will be more favorable treatment going forward. But not a homerun as of today imo especially given all the hype from the admin and B12 lovers OTOS leading up to the move. Probably need to give it a few seasons.

Yep

Believe it or not tip-off times are actually worse now

And 100% agree. PAC12 network production was so much superior to espn+

Lots of false belief in what the Big 12 would be

Game times still suck but

Competitive games / better competition/ better environments I will take every day

But for me most importantly- I could not get pac 12 network and I already had the Disney/espn+/ Hulu package…. So I have been psyched to be able to watch almost every game. I don’t give 2 fucks about quality compared to Pac 12 network

You live in Tucson right?

So you could have had Cox Comcast or Dish and gotten PAC-12 Network

You chose not to have any of those services

Sorry the PAC-12 Network wasn't available this is total bullshit. People priorized other services and that's fine but PAC-12 was available to almost everyone in America

PAC-12 Network was also available on Sling. And many of the local sports watering holes around the Gilbert area where I live. ESPN+? It freezes on me every damn game I watch on it, and I've yet to find a bar that subscribes to + on a regular basis. If anyone has any recommendations in the Gilbert/Mesa/Chandler area, I'd appreciate it.

I have had zero issues with ESPN+. And I think the quality is on par with PAC12 Network, with the on-air talent being about the same. I’ve honestly encountered zero difference outside of the commercials. It’s taken me a bit to get used to the one team gets local commercials in the first half and the other gets the second half thing but that’s about it.

Only issues I've had with ESPN+ are some shitty stream qualities - same as what I saw with the P12 Now app.

Have lived in Southern CA for almost 20 years and found it crazy I couldn't get P12 network on DTV thanks to Larry Scott's ineptitude. At least you can buy ESPN+ ala carte - had to bum the P12 app login off my folks back in Tucson for over a decade!

Pac-12 Network was great. My favorite channel to watch UA MBB and FB. Just set my VPN to England or France and watch every game for free on Youtube. No lag at all.

I did get Sling Orange with the Sports Pack, but once it went over $50 a month I said fuhgeddaboudit. I only used it for UA sports, never saw another thing on it.

For me the biggest thing is that the game always is on when it should be. No having it go to ESPIN News or PAC 12 Arizona. I like ESPN+ and have had no issues

Before 2017, I used Direct TV, and switching to Dish solely to get Pac-12 TV was not a viable option.

Then I unplugged and began using Amazon Firestick for all streaming access. I did variations of Hulu, no-watch and "FishLink"...

... that was cumbersome, frustrating and the Pac-12 product did not make me want to add expense or extraordinary measures.

Currently, I get Disney+ (which includes ESPN+) for free with my Verizon contract.

I like the ESPN+ access, find the broadcasts to be acceptable; the only frustration is that it's more difficult to switch between games.

I go directly through Disney+ - I believe there have been fewer frustrations (interruptions, sound issues, etc.) than on Hulu App, though I have never switched during a game to compare...

Of course it’s a money grab. They are in the business of making money. And if the program director has to hype a game that you then have to then sign up and pay to watch to do it, he or she will sleep just fine at night knowing they’ll be able to fill the gas tank on their boat this summer.

i still really miss the pac and walton and the regionality and all that, but must concede that no longer having asu as a travel partner is a 100% improvement. despite being in a deeper conference, i think our regular seasons will be much better without the baggage of asu.
We were travel partners with asu for a good chunk of conference play this year
the ucf-baylor and isu-cu games were at home, though weirdly asu played colorado in boulder (while uofa played cu in tucson) last month. no remaining symmetries with asu on our remaining schedule, and none of our opponents have asu on the front end of the same week

I’m worried about this KState game. They are currently playing their best basketball of the season while we are a(nother) man down if Townsend can’t play, traveling out to the middle of nowhere Kansas for an early week game before we go up against Houston at home in the biggest game of the season so far.

But if any team is up for the challenge, it’s this one.

We felt a bit unfocused at times tonight so this is a perfect opportunity for Tommy to get everyone back on track for Tuesday. I'm glad the TT coach got that T when he did as that really put the momentum in our favor and gave us the cushion we needed.

The refs made some really odd calls tonight. The worst was when (Awaka?) was called for a foul but the replay showed he didn't even touch the guy! We all yelled bullshit so loud I'm sure you guys could hear it on TV.

TT is a very annoying, feisty team. Glad we got the win. Didn't see too many TT fans there, but since they wear red as well they probably blended in really well.

What a roll we are on... and the tough games don't stop anytime soon. I still expect we will drop a couple more games... but I am amazed by the consistency that we are playing at every game.

@ Kansas St worries me... but even if we drop that 1... 1st place will still be on the line when we play Houston... and since we only play Houston once... winner would own the tie breaker

When we were 4-5 we were not a tournament team.

Now we are.

Would be huge to get first place, would guarantee us a birth in the NIT since I was assured many times we would not make the NCAA

How bad was Bryant’s fourth foul? Never saw a replay but heard it was an off the ball ticky-tack foul.

And ESPN still sucks. I mean the announcer kept making blatant “good call/bad call” statements and then you get no replay to see if he was right or not.

The TT coach got his T when he furiously gestured his guy got hacked on the arm after Tobe blocked the shot. Was there a replay shown to see if he had a case? Nope.

@ Kansas St worries me... but even if we drop that 1... 1st place will still be on the line when we play Houston... and since we only play Houston once... winner would own the tie breaker
Would be huge to get first place, would guarantee us a birth in the NIT since I was assured many times we would not make the NCAA
For a guy who thinks everyone is obsessed with him... You are the person most obsessed you.

Give it a fucking rest

The refs made some really odd calls tonight. The worst was when (Awaka?) was called for a foul but the replay showed he didn't even touch the guy! We all yelled bullshit so loud I'm sure you guys could hear it on TV.

TT is a very annoying, feisty team. Glad we got the win. Didn't see too many TT fans there, but since they wear red as well they probably blended in really well.
The worst was the no call on Henri’s dunk.

Nope.
The no-call on Henri’s dunk was the exception but yeah we got very few replays. One thing about ESPN is their focus will always be on promoting their upcoming programming over delivering good current programs. So instead of a replay or even a full screen of current action you’re going to see four bullet points on why you should watch the upcoming Tennessee women’s game or fake virtual golf bullshit.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?
