no, but I think it shows some glaring weaknesses this team and coaching staff haveCBCat wrote:does this wreck our number one seed out west?
It's long past time to bring this back to the court, let's do it with a small update:

We played like shit and lost to a team that ASU beat.
Good wake up call for a team that underperformed.

Awful loss

I think it's too soon to say that. Pac 12 play will determine that.scumdevils86 wrote:Likely yesCBCat wrote:does this wreck our number one seed out west?

Re: Game 13, at UNLV
Gawd I hate we are everyone's biggest game of the year. But Sean scheduled these games so we win by it and we die by it and learn and grow and become better by this I guess. Rondae has got to get it together. Don't know what his game is at this point. But he hasn't played well and TJ wtf? dude. Where was your O second half. Don't get this crap at all.
Re: Game 13, at UNLV
It ends our non-conference winning streak, as I predicted weeks ago.
UNLV has forced this team to play out of sync at least two years in a row. Only good thing about it is that the Rebels will probably wake up from this and make the tournament now.

Re: Game 13, at UNLV
Terrible omen for things to come. With teams like Stanford, Utah and uw surging it will be nearly impossible to win the Pac 12. Rpi anchor loss that kills any 1 seed chance.

I think expectations are going to be greatly tempered. We will be lucky to win the PAC-12.

UA scores 5 points in the last 5:32.
59% FTs, outrebounded by 13.
No adjustment at all by Miller.

He's had a lot of charges called on him so he was gun shy there. But still never should have done anything but dunk it there. He messed up twice end of game.Main Event wrote:Man, I can't believe he missed that layup

Aww come on guys - Arizona is by far the most gifted Pac 12 team, again. Enough with the "lucky to win the conference" crap.

List all the positives for laying such a huge turd like this and losing.

Jesus, no. We're still the clear favorite.az91 wrote:I think expectations are going to be greatly tempered. We will be lucky to win the PAC-12.
UNLV made us look this bad last season, too, only home court was good for nine points. We'll recover...but the road to national championship may not be as quick as some of you might like.
Re: Game 13, at UNLV
Yeah welcome to our world but no excuse this offense and missing all these free throws. I'd argue unlv's throws kept them in this game and then they took the lead.azpatnca wrote:I doubt it. Re: Game 13, at UNLV
Thats actually one part of his game he needs to adjust......he never goes all the way to the bucket. He likes to avoid the contact and lay it up or shoot the bunnie. He needs to go all the way to the hole and get contact and draw the foul. If he had not terminated his dribble and gone all the way to the hole there is no way he's going to get called for an offensive foul.........99% of the time the defender gets called in that situation.CBCat wrote:He's had a lot of charges called on him so he was gun shy there. based on one game? one poor night? it happens. Yeah it sucks to lose to a team we really should have beat....but I kind of thought this would be one of the tougher games on the schedule.ASUHATER! wrote:not at all. People saying we have no shot at the pac 12 title now are really overreacting big time. This team still has a few months to get it together. We are talking about a non-conference game on the road and people are acting like we just lost in the first round of the tournament.

We now have to go like 16-2 or better in the Pac 12 to get a 1 seed. Just pathetic in every sense tonight. No effort anywhere.

This is a bad loss, but this team had better make the Final Four.

Maybe, but the conference is going to be tough. Utah and UW have the talent and coaching to win the conference.billk78 wrote:based on one game? one poor night? it happens. 3) you're overreacting
Re: Game 13, at UNLV
I'm sorry but I'm sick of loosing all of our close games under Miller because he can't coach fucking offense, I swear our players spend so much energy and focus on not fucking up on defense, because they'll get pulled that our offense is just horrible. In year 5 of coach Miller here it is glaring what his biggest weakness as a coach is, he needs to go get some tips from Olson because I'm sick of watching such terrible offense year after year... this is pathetic to loose to the team we just did especially, if we have national championship level expectations. So frustrated watching this team on offense for the last 5 seasons.

Jesus, it's atrocious that an Arizona team this "massive" got outrebounded by so many.
That all goes back to effort.
Re: Game 13, at UNLV
This does not look like a Final Four team. The offense just isn't there, and the returning players do not look improved from last year.NETSFAN4HASSAN wrote:Now this is absurd. Re: Game 13, at UNLV
Take a deep breath and get some sleep..........1 loss does not end our chances of a 1 seed. Hell, we could lose two more (Say Utah and UDUB on the road), finish 27-3, win the PAC12 tournament and still get a 1 seed........2 seed at the worst. Hell, we finished last season with 3 losses, lost in the PAC12 tournament and were STILL a #1 seed with 4 losses.ASUHATER! wrote:not at all. College basketball is tough. The pac is tough. Thats good for us. I see threads and posts about our poor SOS....but if the Pac is so strong won't that help our SOS? Let's just all relax and enjoy the holidays. We'll see what happens in conference play.az91 wrote:Maybe, but the conference is going to be tough.
