We have to play Kansas at what amounts to Allen Fieldhouse East. Its 42 miles from their campus and they will have 10,000+
fans in the crowd. They have also played numerous games at T-Mobile so they are very familiar with the rims/depth perception.
Plenty of fans of other teams will be pulling for us.
Do you always rationalize on a sunday morning???
80-90% of the Non-Kansas/UA fans will sell their tickets. It will be worse than a UA-Oregon state matchup at T-Mobile Las Vegas in the old Pac12 tournament. The game is literally in their backyard.
It would be equivalent to the UA playing a Big12 tournament game in Green Valley
You do realize that when we play them there will still be 6 other teams left, right?
I’m just informing you in case you wanted to take a break from your Sunday moaning.
You do realize that most fans don't attend other teams games??? And you do realize in this era of digital tickets most of those fans will put those tickets up for sale??? I'm doing just that myself as I won't be at the wednesday games.

I did not realize that. Because it’s not true. Fans of other teams in our sessio (KState, Baylor, TTech) could absolutely stay to watch our game and would likely not be rooting for Kansas … but why am I bothering telling you? You obviously already know the intention of all the fans that will be there.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?
According to BigXII fans, those fans enjoy attending all sessions of the tournament win or lose. That was their main retort in not having it move to Vegas.
I would imagine those opposing fans are tired of KU’s home court advantage. Guess we will see

My ISU grad buddies go to the tourney every year to root on their Clones, and root against Kansas.

I was told no one sells their seats and that is why the tournament needs to stay in KC
I dont believe it, but that is what the Big 12 stans say
Every time I've been to T-Mobile in KC for a basketball game, I sat in scalped ticket seats (6-7 times)

I am relaying what the Big 12 loser stans say as to why Vegas is not an option. That is the only reason they say. Attendance and nothing else to do during the tournament in KC.

Not surprising - matches up with the eye test from watching the last few weeks of games. Significant regression in defense since that Houston game.
Not sure if it is due to guys being worn out or just the higher level of competition being able to exploit our defense more effectively.
We are still consistently late on close outs on 3PT and losing covers on switches/screens. Some of those things are real head scratchers this far into the season.

Not everyone runs in the shadowy underworld like you.
And they're happy in the nosebleed seats too. I guess!!

Great BBQ, lots of good jazz & blues, and museums...
... One would have to be pretty unimaginative to have a boring time in KC!

Kansas City is awesome. Great place
But it ain't Vegas for a basketball tournament

Big 12 moving to an 18 conference game schedule next season. Maybe this will help the team get a bit more rest instead of some of the craziness from this year. Also KC is locked in until 2031 so they literally can't consider moving the tournament for awhile.

Lets see if Yormark is 1/100th what people made him out to be. If he is then he will get a new court for the men's tournament
I have not seen one positive thing about the court and seen hundreds of complaints

Time start the best 5 and play the best 6.
ADO and TT can come off the bench and for a few minutes here and there.
Only hope this team has is Caleb love going nuclear.
Totally losing strategy - our 8-man rotation needs to be maintained as is...
especially facing the (hoped for) three-games-in-three-days opportunity!!

Men’s college basketball conference tournament projections, best bets: Picks for every major league
It’s less than a week until Selection Sunday, which means that the high-major conference tournaments are getting underway. And while we usually associate Cinderella teams with mid- or low-major schools, don’t be surprised if we see some unlikely runs amongst the nation’s strongest conference. Remember NC State last year?
My college basketball projection model uses advanced metrics, adjusted for opponents, from more than 10 years of data to create a projection for each team. From there, I simulate each college basketball tournament one million times to get projected odds for each team to secure an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Hoping Kansas will start tiring out in the 2nd after playing such a close OT game yesterday.

I don't like how this team is trending right now... but I do welcome a rematch with Kansas

We have no answer for Hunter Dickinson. CTL can't coach Awaka to be 4 inches taller or Veesaar to be 30 pounds heavier by next thursday. Its just a bad matchup for us.
I have to admit I was not confident at all in this game until around the 3 minute mark…..but a really good win in a hostile environment, unbelievable KU advantage, so major props to the whole Team. BTFD and let’s win the tie breaker vs Tech!

They couldn't attend them all in the entertainment capital of the world. Maybe we will see with both ISU and Kansas out now.

Like I said… felt pretty good with the rematch
espn said right after the game that arizona is 5-0 in immediate rematches. i wasn't sure what they meant - maybe all-time? like when the 'cats wrapped its season against asu and then went into the pac tourney as a top seed and played asu in the first round?
