Ashley's 3-pointer via Scheer
I don't know how to post Twitter stuff, but you've got to see Scheer's tweet:
https://twitter.com/jasonscheer
There's also a still out there with the hand through the net and through and above the rim. That was a made shot, not a miracle bounce that defies physics.

Re: Ashley's 3-pointer via Scheer
Yeah, there's some pretty conclusive video that shows he actually reached up through the net and got a finger on the ball.
A pity really, it was such a well-officiated game other than that.

Re: Ashley's 3-pointer via Scheer
Well the two RHJ fouls coupled with the ball that hit the UNLV guy on the baseline that wasn't called that cost us a bucket all adds up. Has any outlet noted this goaltend?

Erlich Bachmann: Richard wrote the code, yes, but the inspiration was clear. Let me ask you something. How fast do you think you could jack off every guy in this room? Cause I know how long it would take me. And I could prove it.

Re: Ashley's 3-pointer via Scheer
Don't forget the uncalled out of bounds play, as only the most absurd examples. But this can happen on the road. Not usually this bad, but it's a part of it, though not as important as Arizona playing just awful basketball.azcat49 wrote:Well the two RHJ fouls coupled with the ball that hit the UNLV guy on the baseline that wasn't called that cost us a bucket all adds up. Don King puts on a good show. This is Vegas baby.
Re: Ashley's 3-pointer via Scheer
Im convinced that was a goaltend/basket interference at the end. We know we dont get those calls though and we shouldn't have been in that spot anyhow.
Re: Ashley's 3-pointer via Scheer
The dude definitely goaltended...I was half-falling asleep here on the east coast and I thought it was blatantly obvious. Refs are a joke as we all know. But yea, shouldn't have been in that spot to begin with.
Re: Ashley's 3-pointer via Scheer
That baseline ref was just horrible. He should lose his job bad. He missed the out of bounds, goal-tend and called RHJ for the "you can't run into his elbow" call. Totally biased or incompetent. He directly cost us 5 points and RHJ fouling out.
Re: Ashley's 3-pointer via Scheer
Who cares. Should have never been in that position anyways. We got bullied on the glass. The team needs to toughen up.

Re: Ashley's 3-pointer via Scheer
yeah i guess that could've made a difference and it was a missed call but we played like a bunch of bored pansies last night.
Re: Ashley's 3-pointer via Scheer
Totally agree. Let's just hope this team takes this as the wake up call it should be.Dosia wrote:Who cares. Should have never been in that position anyways. We got bullied on the glass. The team needs to toughen up.
Re: Ashley's 3-pointer via Scheer
I agree with not being in that situation but they were and that call cost them the game. You cant say that it didn't becuase it did again I completely agree that we laid an egg but that actual call/play cost them the game!Dosia wrote:Who cares. Re: Ashley's 3-pointer via Scheer
I definitely agree. I wasn't trying to blame the refs for the loss. I hope we learn and grow from this experience.Dosia wrote:Who cares. Should have never been in that position anyways. We got bullied on the glass. The team needs to toughen up.

We did stink last night per Miller.
Hope the boys re-group and come out with a more passionate effort during Pac 12 play.

I guess Sean Miller was a big loser after the UCLA Pac-12 Tournament game.Zero wrote:Only losers blame the refs? Wtf does that even mean?
Re: Ashley's 3-pointer via Scheer
Arizona did not win that game and had the talent and coaching to overcome that. Not saying it was fair or right in any way, but I think Arizona was more than 5 points better than UCLA that year and last year as well.azcat34 wrote:I guess Sean Miller was a big loser after the UCLA Pac-12 Tournament game.Zero wrote:Only losers blame the refs? Machina's future responses to this will tell us a lot about whether the new site attracted the same old Machina.Olsondogg wrote:That's a bullshit comment.

Never heard Miller say that and I doubt he would ever say it. That comment needs some clarification for sure

Machina...still a turd
Re: Ashley's 3-pointer via Scheer
Miller consistently praises the fan base, nearly every chance he gets. There is no explanation for a dumbass comment, you just have to look at the source.

I didn't know about this. I am pissed! Was over being pissed, but back to being pissed. I hope Miller sees this, so he can ease up on the guys.Longhorned wrote:I don't know how to post Twitter stuff, but you've got to see Scheer's tweet:

That three point missed call moved us down from 2 to 8, lol.
We're still a top 3 team folks.

Re: Ashley's 3-pointer via Scheer
I'm not so sure about that. Let's see how the conference season goes. Besides, it should never have come down to a missed call. The defensive effort or lack thereof prevented us from winning.Bosy Billups wrote:That three point missed call moved us down from 2 to 8, lol.

I take responsibility for my part in whatever loss Machina is referencing. If the rest of you had a conscience, you would do the same.
I may have not taken a jinx seriously. I may not have cheered loud enough. I may have not worn the school colors or frequented the right sports bar. Confession: Haven't been in one in, like, forever. Often wear clothes of neutral colors.
