I'm laughing my ass off.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Anything that makes it marginally harder to fire Alford gets a thumbs up from me!!!dirtbags wrote:BROONS! go pac-12!
Re: NCAA Tourney Non Arizona game thread
Tough way for SMU to lose. But even it is UCLA, go Pac-12...I guess.

ball had zero chance of going in, but if it's over the cylinder at all, you don't touch it.Merkin wrote:
way to lose smu.
(not to mention you had 2 good looks of your own and missed both)
It's long past time to bring this back to the court, let's do it with a small update:
Re: NCAA Tourney Non Arizona game thread
SMU ... what a way to lose. Terrible shot by Alford

Right where I want to be.
Re: NCAA Tourney Non Arizona game thread
But I still would like to punch Bryce.
Re: NCAA Tourney Non Arizona game thread
And what a way to screw my bracket. I had 'em losing to the Zags in the 16.gumby wrote:SMU ... what a way to lose.

Hang em up Larry.
Way to bail out a horrible shot. Fadeaway, contested from way behind the arc

I'd probably rather play OSU over VCU but I just cannot cheer for the Buckeyes.

I love the ncaa tournament so much
Re: NCAA Tourney Non Arizona game thread
Both of these teams look pretty average. Perhaps VCU is just above average with OSU just below, but it's tough to imagine either of these teams seriously challenging us through an entire 40 minutes.ChattyPaddy wrote:I'd probably rather play OSU over VCU but I just cannot cheer for the Buckeyes.

I don't know much about OSU or VCU, so I'll just root for OT.

Both these teams haven't looked impressive. I'd rather have the team without a top 5 player though

If you are Yanick Moreira, you have to go for that play. Its a foot to the right and you can't give up a putback. At least we can hate Bryce that much more?!?!
Re: NCAA Tourney Non Arizona game thread
Wow Xavier is really taking it to Ole Miss.

Any chance FUCLA could beat the Zags in the Sweet 16?
Re: NCAA Tourney Non Arizona game thread
Do you remember their game at Pauley earlier this season?3goggles wrote:Any chance FUCLA could beat the Zags in the Sweet 16?
UCLA fought tooth and nail at in the last two minutes of the game to try and get the game to a single digit loss. They were unable to.

If they can lose to ASU surely than lose to a motivated UAB?3goggles wrote:Any chance FUCLA could beat the Zags in the Sweet 16?
(ahh UAB, has a team ever scarred Jamelle Horne more?)
Pac-12 solidarity is worth a flaming pile of poop. We don't need them for recruiting basketball, so let them all lose horribly.

Fair to say the Big 12 was overrated 6 hours into the Tourney?
But in my book, you gotta get to White Castle before the weirdos show up!

Well to those people it is, but not in the bestest country. Soccer is still boring anyway..Katzenfreund wrote:Nahh, nothing against March Madness but it doesn't come close to the FIFA World Cup. Re: NCAA Tourney Non Arizona game thread
Worldwide, yea. Not in Murica though. Dont have numbers, but more than half the sports fans I know dont watch the world cup, period, even when USA is playing. Come NCAA time, you got millions playing hooky from work, millions more not working and streaming games or huddled with their buddies in the break room, everyone is in a bracket pool, etc. The constant suspense and drama, the buzzer beaters.. you cant top it.Katzenfreund wrote:Nahh, nothing against March Madness but it doesn't come close to the FIFA World Cup. I understand soccer about as much as I understand NASCAR, so don't watch either. Same with hockey. Icing? What's that?
No doubt futbol is king due to the nature of many nations being poor and all you need to play is a soccer ball. Or a skull if your are an Aztec.

Re: NCAA Tourney Non Arizona game thread
OSU and VCU are so equally meh. Hard to root for either.

Nice elbow. PAC-12 refs would have given him 3-5 years.
Re: NCAA Tourney Non Arizona game thread
So after all we've accomplished, we play either a 10 or a 7 to get to Sweet 16. UCLA plays a 14.
Right where I want to be.

Stripes being very kind to Ohio State down the stretch. VCU guy has to sell that charge, that was the game.
