Re: NCAA Tourney Non Arizona game thread
You want to think about a funny comparison: think about how much better Hampton is hanging with Kentucky in comparison to UCLA (like a 20-0 start to the game; 41-7 at the half).
Re: NCAA Tourney Non Arizona game thread
I hope we get a shot at UK. I think it would be an epic battle.

If Eastern Washington wants to win this they need to stop throwing bullshit towards the basket.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Reminds me of a hockey game. Just keep chucking the puck at the net and hope for a rebound.Chicat wrote:If Eastern Washington wants to win this they need to stop throwing bullshit towards the basket.
Re: NCAA Tourney Non Arizona game thread
Xavier did not take down Texas Southern. Might want to fact check those graphics a bit better.

NC needs to stop with the three ball.
Re: NCAA Tourney Non Arizona game thread
LSU can't make a free throw to save their life.

I love this tournament.
So fun to watch teams I'm not invested in.
NC State, good for them.
Sucks to be Craig Victor.

Besides the 3 Wildcat games today, it seems like every other game has been been decided in the last 30 seconds.
Crazy, crazy start to March Madness.

He should get plenty of playing time, so there's that...

Re: NCAA Tourney Non Arizona game thread
Almost went in for Wofford. Losing on the last possession is the worst feeling.

They bled about 20 seconds down 3. You have to get into your offense sooner.Chicat wrote:Spaceman Spiff wrote:Lord, that was horrible execution by Wofford on that final possession.

Re: NCAA Tourney Non Arizona game thread
If they weren't going to take the quick 2 (coach's decision) then they needed to take it down to 13-10 seconds before going into their offense. I thought it was a poor choice by their coach. He should have tried to stretch the game by fouling instead of trying to tie it last minute, but the kids executed the play perfectly. It's tough to get off a three when everyone knows you have to get a three.Spaceman Spiff wrote:They bled about 20 seconds down 3. Re: NCAA Tourney Non Arizona game thread
Eh, I disagree. I think you have to maximize your ability to get a good shot and run offense the whole time. The shot may not fall, and you have to be realistic about that and give yourself as much leeway as possible.Chicat wrote:If they weren't going to take the quick 2 (coach's decision) then they needed to take it down to 13-10 seconds before going into their offense. The team didn't do it poorly, but that's bad judgment killing clock, imo.

i was expecting a pretty sluggish game from uk & hampton because of the late start time. wondering if sdsu will look more energetic tomorrow as they play the flyin' lavins into the midnight hour

Yeah, I think we're close and any difference is semantic. Your options constrict so much if you don't go. Whether that is strategy or execution or anything in between, it is wrong.Chicat wrote:Then we agree. Bad strategy, good execution.Spaceman Spiff wrote:Eh, I disagree. I'm not sure the players were perfect. The first shot, they got bogged down a bit. That said, they certainly did well given the circumstances they were in.
