Hansen mentioned we have had 9 crowds of 3K plus this year, the rest of the conference has only done that 8 times total. Just another example is AZ fans being the best in the conference. Larry Scott has to hate that.
We might get 15K over the 3 games with ASSU next weekend!

Yeah thankfully the Asu series is next weekend and not the week after. Next weekend is graduation and there will be a bunch of people in town. Will be like 100 degrees though. Unlike this weekend when during all the games it was in the 60s and 70s.

The Friday and Saturday evening games should be very pleasent.
Cats have rallied from a 5-2 defined by scoring 4 in the bottom of the 7th to take the lead. Ming has done a nice job with his middle relief and the game has gone to the bottom of the 8th. 3 outs and the cats sweep and get a huge win given how all these teams are bunched up with 8-11 loses each

OSU has 2 on 2 out in the top of the 9th and Cats up 6-5.

Cats get it done and move to 14-10 in the conference. That was a HUGE win.
6 more conference games. I think 18 wins will win the conference.

JJ said Dalbec did not play this weekend due to an injury. He said he is hoping he will be able to play against asu.

It was a nice read. Maybe Hansen should become the baseball beat writer.

Better get to the yard early tonight. They are expecting more than 5k and will run shuttles from the mall the HC.
The ASSU pitcher has a sub 2 ERA. Bannister has a sub 1 ERA at home. Amazing stats for college baseball. Need this series win badly

Cats win 4-2. Cloney goes 7.2, Dalbec closes it out. Hope you Tucson residents are going to the games, I wish I could. From media lately, seems reminiscent of late in the season in 2012, there was definitely a special feeling. For me it started with that 9th inning comeback win over Stanford that year.

Ginkel or Ming today? I guess it just depends on if we want a power throwing right hander or an off speed lefty.
Need this series win today. The conference is still do stacked from 9 losses to 12. Going to be a warm day for the fans

Well the poor hitting performance of this week may have just cost us our chances of hosting a regional. Need to bounce back strong against Oregon this week. Need a sweep.
Ugh nothing worse than losing this series at home against these schmucks.

What a disappointing weekend on many fronts. Not only is it a series loss to AsSU and probably a loss of a chance to host the regionals but it was also a huge loss for Pac12 networks. I found out that Dish does not provide access to the Arizona Network of the PAC12 networks. On Sunday, Pac12 showed another game. I couldn't even find the game on radio. I tried to use the TuneIn app and it was playing a months-old tape of a Sean Miller interview. WTF. I am glad I didn't drive down to catch the rubber match...that would have been a lonely drive back and a huge waste of time.

Finally get a win at least. After sweeping osu we lost 4 out of 5 and ended any Pac 12 title or regional hosting dreams. Have to win out against abilene Christian and Hawaii to even remotely entertain regional hopes.

Depends on what we do in our 5 games against weak competition this week. We'll finish anywhere from 2nd to like 6th in the Pac 12.

Agreed Hater, got to get these next 5 games. They will need some western sites so I would think if we can stay above Oregon St we could be a site. Seems like we have the capabilities yo put in a great bid

Gotta think Washington is the leader in the clubhouse to host along with one of UCSB/Cal State Fullerton. We shit the bed these past two series and will be traveling somewhere.

Cats win big tonight. AZ looks like they are locked into 4th place in the PAC. They still could finish 37-20 and there RPI is currently at 25. Hope is alive to have a good draw

Probably around 3000 or so. Plus or minus a few hundred. Probably good for top 20-25 in the country.

Most recent projection has us being shipped to Clemson for the regional there. It's pretty doubtful we host. Just needed to win 1 more game each against asu and Oregon...

UCSB is not putting in a bid and if UDUB can beat Utah it's doubtful Utah gets in as a conference 2 assuming ASSU loses to USC. That will give then the same number of vonference wins as us but a lower RPI. I think Temp or Tucson gets the last hosting site, go Trojans

asu losing to USC 12-1 in the 2nd inning. I wonder if that game will have an impact on if the Cats or them host a regional?

It's could. As of Friday asu was projected to host. But if they lose their last two games then that could stop that.
But do we really want to host next weekend? Next weekend in Tucson it is going to be 105-108 degrees.

That is what they call a home-field advantage. It got the Cats to the 2012 World Series.

Baseball power has really shifted to the southeast from the west coast. Insane that there will be none in the west when historically the Pac 10 and places like the big west rule baseball

They just finished releasing the bracket. Neither us or asu hosting. We're going to the Lafayette regional against Louisiana Lafayette, Sam Houston state and Princeton. Only us, asu, Washington and Utah made the tournament. Utah won the pac 12 and got the auto bid but had a losing record on the season. They're a 4 seed in their regional. If they hadn't won the title they would definitely not be in the tournament.
When's the last time no Pac 12 California team made the ncaa tournament?
