Magic is not a good NBA talent evaluator, and that applies to coaches. Ryan West and Jesse Buss are responsible for the talent evaluations which got the Lakers to where they are now, excluding Bron and the free agents they signed last summer.Newportcat wrote:Chicat wrote:Haven’t heard a whole lot of “Fire Walton” talk lately. Oh it’s still out there

I disagree with it as I don’t think hard core coaches work anymore in basketball especially at the NBA level
Until July 1, when Kyrie opts out.PHXCATS wrote:Rose rule, Davis can't go to the Celtics unless the trade included Kyrie which is not happening
Kuzma, Ingram, Ball, and Zubac are “not much”?ASUHATER! wrote:Lakers don't have much to offer New Orleans. He'll most likely go to the Celtics or someone else.
Better also include Hart, a #1 and take back Solomon Hill (which wont happen, but id start there).Chicat wrote:Kuzma, Ingram, Ball, and Zubac are “not much”?ASUHATER! wrote:Lakers don't have much to offer New Orleans. He'll most likely go to the Celtics or someone else.
Half that team should be playing in China. He got set up for failure.Irish27 wrote:I can't see Walton surviving after this year. He is in a no-win situation. Honestly, I don't think Luke is that great of a coach. Does not seem like he makes a lot of adjustments in the second half of games.
Bron and Rich are calling the shots, make no mistake. Luke will be gone, he doesn't deserve any of this, and I do think he's a good coach, but he's not ready at all for this.Chicat wrote:Half that team should be playing in China. I think i said something like thus a couple of years ago. I wouldnt put my worst enemy in charge of trying to turn Ball into a player.Chicat wrote:Half that team should be playing in China. Totally true, guys are playing different for sureTucsonClip wrote:Bron and Rich are calling the shots, make no mistake. Bron does not listen to any of Luke's calls, at all. He flat out ignores him and runs what he sees fit on the floor. That's a fact.
Last year, you could see the guys picking up what Luke wanted them to do, how to play free and reactionary, and those dudes we're busting their ass on defense.
This year is literally the exact opposite.

Finally a LA team beat Boston...too little too late I'm afraid.Newportcat wrote:Rondo....DAGGER
While I love Luke getting some love the truth is the trade deadline passed. That made them more focused.Chicat wrote:Rondo thanked Luke during the postgame for keeping the team focused.
Yeah, but when that deadline passed it was like Lebron turned to his 12 ex-wives and said, “Y’all still living here, huh?”EastCoastCat wrote:While I love Luke getting some love the truth is the trade deadline passed. Not a coincidence everyone on that team loves Rondo.Chicat wrote:Rondo thanked Luke during the postgame for keeping the team focused.
Luke to finish season with the Lakers so at least that is settledTucsonClip wrote:Looking at Luke's face on the bench last night, and the extended All-Star break, I wouldn't feel comfortable if I were Luke.
