2019-2020 Season

Re: 2019-2020 Season
It’s been a magical season so far. My only hope is they keep it going.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Re: 2019-2020 Season
We stay #12 in the AP poll.
maryland, beating the #18 team on the road, and a non ranked team at home, leaped over us to spot 10.
Guess the voters really didn't like how we lost to oregon, but respected how we then beat #9 team in their place. (OrSU is still ranked ahead of us at #11), so left us as is.

Re: 2019-2020 Season
Our very weak non conference is probably the difference. Just keep winning then beat Furd at home and we will lock in a top 16

Yeah I'm good with us not being in the top 10 for the moment. Just surprised to see that maryland jumped that far.azcat49 wrote:Our very weak non conference is probably the difference. Just keep winning then beat Furd at home and we will lock in a top 16
No worries, this team can keep winning and crack that top10.

Re: 2019-2020 Season
Agreed POM. I would assume if we finish 12-16 that equates to a 4 seed which means we would get the 5 seed at home in the second round. That might be a team like Northwestern.
It’s been a long time since we have a NCAA tournament game in McKale. I would definitely drive down for this two games.

When was the last time we had a 20 win season?

Re: 2019-2020 Season
my guess is 2005, which is the last year we went to the tournament. This is the first time we've had back to back winning seasons since at least 2005.
i was going to put the ua/asu records here...but i forgot what they were.
i'll just go with fuck asu.

Fuck.Arizona Wildcats star guard Aari McDonald will miss Friday’s game at Utah due to a lower leg injury. The UA is officially calling her day-to-day and it is hoped she can return Sunday at Colorado.

Sam Thomas with the 31 point night! Woooooooo.
Coach said after the game on radio that they're expecting Aari back for Sunday's game, but that a decision hasnt been made yet. So hopefully we've got her back on Sunday and the rest of the team can step up like they did tonight(not just Sam, but damn Sam was awesome).

I hope so. I am planning on going to the game. CU isn't that good so the 'Cats can probably take them without her.

Aari is built different. She’s the killer I wish the Men’s team had.
If she’s healthy, this team has Final 4 potential.

Win or lose, I love watching a UofA team with grit and heart. These ladies don’t have some huge paycheck coming, and they play for the team on the front of the uniform. May they win.

So I hear Adia didn't win coach of the year? Who did instead and how can the other coaches justify that?

What? Seriously? That is crazy. I guess the Oregon coach might win it but not like he didn’t have an all star, sure FF contending team coming back

I can live with it. Oregon was the first non-conference team to win at UConn in like 15 years, and they destroyed them. That caught a lot of eyeballs I imagine. That and coaching the player of the year.

Took a team from literally nothing, to winning the NIT last year, to (most likely) hosting the first 2 rounds of the NCAA tourney this year, oh and :

and that graphic doesn't even include all the season accomplishments.
She did all that with far less rated-talent, and far less pac-12 season award-voted talent, than any other coach in the pac12.
