Washington lost to Houston. Their coach probably wasn’t willing to put his team in a defense that plays to the strengths of all those first round picks they have on their roster.

14-4 likely wins the conference. Colorado-Utah trip likely one of the toughest roadies. And Arizona misses that. Oregon trail hardest roadie (IMO).

Did you see that last possession play by UCLA? Run the clock down to 4 seconds then don’t even get a shot off. Cronin must be taking lessons from Miller. /s

Road trips are going to be BRUTAL this year. Pac may be down, but some of these also-rans like WSU and Utah and UCLA have already surprised some teams looking past them. As it stands, I’m not sure which road trips we can sweep. Maybe NoCal? Maybe SoCal?

How is the Pac down? This is the strongest the conference has been in recent memory.

Huh?? As it stands, only Oregon, AZ, and Colorado look bid-worthy. UW, Utah, Stanford, USC would have to finish pretty high in the Pac standings.

6-7 teams sounds pretty unrealistic. How many quality OOC wins does the league have? Oregon has a couple. Colorado beat Dayton. UW beat Baylor. That’s about it.

No way the Pac gets more than 5 in.

Unlikely.

BracketMatrix has only 5 PAC12 teams in the dance as of today (AZ 5 seed)

And with the normal conference cannibalizing (e.g, UCLA beating Udub) that number is more likely to go down than up

Forgot about Utah over UK. Still, I’m not sure anything beyond 5 Pac bids is attainable, and 4 feels more likely.

Right now we might have the least impressive resume in the PAC given our lack of quality tier 1 wins. No bad losses but would feel better if we had won one of those games

Yep. Saturday’s game is bigger for us than for Oregon, who already has multiple quality OOC wins.

As of today, Oregon is at the 2/3 seed range, Colorado and AZ are at the 5/6 range, and UW and Utah are probably bubble teams.

A lot could (and will) change, obviously. But today, AZ is probably third in line for a bid among Pac teams. Utah or UW could very quickly take our place, though.

I wouldn't laugh too hard. We have to play at Wazzu and we haven't exactly been tearing it up on the road.

Not laughing at all. Just shows how difficult it can be to win on the road and how ridiculous some fans were calling for Miller’s job after the OSU loss.

Yeah, another coach letting his PG pound the ball into the ground until it’s too late to get a rebound and put back if necessary. And no discernible plan otherwise. They’ve done this multiple times this year sometimes successfully, other times not so successfully.

More great play calling at the end of the game by Altman. No time left for a rebound put back, no open shot, etc. In the end this is how it goes for all the games and all the coaches. Either you have a great player making a great play or you don’t. Either you have Salim making a leaning, step-back jumper or you have Gabe dribbling off his foot.
