I definitely want Detroit because Jose Ramirez scares the shit out of me. He kills the Yankees and he’s the type of guy to go 11-25 in a series and slaughter a team singlehandedly.

Looking surprisingly solid across the board so far, lets hope this can hold for a couple more weeks.

Going to need Judge to start carrying the team now that he remembered how to square up the ball, because I still don’t trust the bullpen and we are a goddamn clown show on the base paths.

Where are the random unnecessary off days when you need them? Going with Gil tonight who was great to begin the season but struggled in the second half and has not pitched in three weeks, sounds like a winning recipe.

Sorry to be an MLB elitist, but this is the World Series the MLB has needed for a long time. Ohtani vs Judge (though he has sucked), Dodgers vs Yankees, LA vs NY.

.167 in the ALCS wasn’t great but 2 HRs and 6 RBIs is nothing to sneeze at. Plus his at bats are way better. Some of those outs were hard contact that was unfortunately right at fielders.

Hopefully the week layoff doesn’t fuck up whatever timing he was just getting back.

When I attended one of the Dodger games earlier this year with my son, I was surprised how many Dodger fans were there. Still a big following mostly from Brooklyn origins with the fandom being passed down through generations. In LA, it will be almost 100% transplanted New Yorkers.

I expect a lot of shit from the Bronx faithful. I’d expect nothing less.

Pinch running Torres for no reason for a guy in Dominguez who is known as a bad base runner leading to a game losing error by Cabrera. Putting Cortes in the fire his first time pitching in two months. This could be a long series in which my hatred boils over for Boone. At least it may take my mind off other things going on for awhile.

I thought Boone’s moves were pretty gutsy. I give him credit. But a few definitely backfired. He should have gone to Cousins, not Holmes in the 7th to face Muncy. He gets us out of that inning and it’s Kahnle to start the 8th, Weaver to start the 9th. Instead of both of them sitting between innings and having to go out and ramp it up again.

Aaron Judge is going to have to do something. But I fear this series is already over.

They just haven’t had the big hit at the right time. I expect that to change when they get back home. It’s not like the Dodgers are blowing them out.

Win game 3 and the momentum will be back with the Yankees especially with the Dodgers having a bullpen game for game 4.

If your a Dodger fan, you certainly aren’t counting your chickens…

As much as I have bitched and moaned (and bitched and moaned), I do love this team. The last 13 innings or so have reminded me of that.

I love watching them, no matter how many years get taken off my life doing so.

Salvage the off-season by resigning Soto.

And for fucks sake fire every coach responsible for defense and baserunning and bring in people who know what they are doing.

It is really going to suck watching Soto in a Dodgers jersey next year.

It was nice seeing Stanton get his groove back, it will be nice seeing a full year of The Martian. I feel pretty good about our rotation if we could add some bullpen help, a high level OF, a replacement for Torres and maybe another innings eating starter we can be back next year. Unfortunately our farm system looks awful and I don't feel very confident in this ownership group's willingness to make the moves needed to make another run next year.
