I will agree that many folks ignored the fact that he was a nomad and out for himself but looking at his resume should have told you that. I like his offense but what really made the difference in a lot of those games was a better defense. Not sure why your so angry all the time but I wish you peace.

He was a strange dude. He said folks were drinking kool aid from local reporters and that is what formed folks opinion. I don't live in Arizona and wouldn't know a local reporter if he/she bit me in the ass. So Chief/Ghost is gone permanently or just a couple of weeks? Don't care just curious.

Permanently. He’s been banned now under two accounts.

We gave him the benefit of the doubt that maybe he was interested in having actual discussions but his aim is to spam his obsessive hatred of Scheer, Luke, and others who cover Arizona.

I enjoy other points of view and am uncomfortable with banning people who's views may not jibe.

The thing that bothered me about Chief is how, several years ago, he would often try to pump himself up by dropping info and stating it was factual. The supposed factual statements would repeatedly be proven as just bullshit.

Anyway, I think the guy is a dick but I honestly don't like seeing him banned.

There have been others who just cannot disagree civilly and may warrant banning more than him.

He also accused me of sharing premium info from Scheer's site. I literally have the same user name at both places. If I was doing that Scheer would cancel my account in a heartbeat.

Sorry, it’s a personally frustrating situation for me because I seriously dislike the guy. So every decision as far as giving warnings and temp bans and so forth comes with a hesitation that I’m letting my personal feelings influence decisions that others are literally begging for. Trust me when I say that it took MANY posters asking to ban Chief before the decision was made. But if anyone had asked me, I would have yeeted him in mid-April when he outed himself as Chief since he had already been banned once before.

The NAU loss while traumatic cannot be charged to Fisch in more than a superficial way. He did not inherit a program that could be called adequate in any category. NAU, while not a power that UA should lose to, is a capable program, UA was not.

Jed's first season had a lot of players that were not really D1 quality, not well developed by the previous regime, and were totally demoralized by the attitude of the previous regime. That's a whole lot of rebuilding to do both physically and psychologically and steady improvement was made during the season. Steady improvement continued each and every year as the personnel improved and the development programs took hold.

Say what you want about Fisch's cut and run stunt (and I condemn it too), but he DID rebuild the UA football program much faster than anyone thought possible. And he left behind a solid platform for continuing to build.

My expectations allow for a bit of a step back this year just because of the learning curve of a new regime and the challenges of late entry into building relationships in the portal though it seems he did a pretty good job in the circumstances. It would be nice if BB could just pick up where JF left off but that is unlikely to happen.

It then remains to be seen whether BB can take the next step, successfully negotiate the new recruiting, transfer, NIL environment in the future. I'm starting to wonder if there is any point to recruiting high schoolers anymore. They'll play for you for a year or two, then jump to somewhere else. Does that mean that some schools and coaches will get a reputation for training/development of players for the "big schools" and nothing more?
