Well, normally I would agree. But this situation bothers me.

Why exactly? Not looking to pick a fight or anything but I don't see him being any different than Coleman leaving last year, and most people seemed to not begrudge him for leaving.

I don't have any insider knowledge, but something must have happened to take a sudden redshirt like that, even with all the departures from the prior season and Croskey-Merritt having eligibility issues.

You can still play 4 games and keep your redshirt.

I would assume it's because in the games he did play, even with JCM out, he was getting like 3 touches a game

Just my observations but seemed to me Speedy was in the wrong place at the wrong time way to many times. That may be why he got so few touches. A coach may have filled him in on why he wasn't getting more touches and it upset him. It may not be the answer but that's my take on it. The one thing I can say for Speedy is yea he is fast and doesn't follow his blockers.

Gonna guess some mix of NIL + tons of playing time to go around. Can't speak to quality but there's a few guys in there if you look around youll see other schools fans were fairly high on them and their school seems pretty upset at losing a key piece kind of guy.

Really interested to see how this all plays out, especially since even though it seems to be an incredibly open secret about Danny Gonzalez, I really don't understand why he still hasn't been named DC.

Seems like they've more or less made up for the transfer losses. I'd still like to see someone other than a walk-on or true freshman backing up Noah, but for the majority of football teams, if QB1 goes down, you're toast anyway. We'll see how quickly and effectively Doege can implement his spread offense and what that does for us. Presumably they'll get somebody a little more competent to run special teams, and beyond that, it's tackling drills and trying to stay healthy. Under the various financial and political circumstances, where it would have been particularly problematic to fire the HC after one season, I guess this is about as good as we could have hoped for. Woo-hoo...LA Bowl or bust in 2025.
