I drove from the I17 and Indian School area to Tucson this afternoon around 3 or 4 and there wasn't even a hint of a storm

I-17 was shut down. I was out around 4-4:30 and it was threatening. I got out of work about 5:15 and it was nuts. That was the second nasty storm I was in this week. I was close to central and Thomas.
It happened right before Mike Pence was about to speak.

Wife just texted me that she's stuck completely in traffic on Grant just east of the underpass on I-10. There's no where to turn around and no break in the back up. So she might be sitting there until the rain stops and the water recedes. Could be hours...

Suppose to rain until at least tomorrow night due to the remnants of the tropical storm in baja California. Maybe up to 3 inches of rain when it is all over.

Not groceries, but did get some stuff at Skaggs (now OscoDrug).
Got other non-perishables at LaBelle's and Yellow Front.

I know it's early but right now they are saying Tucson can get 3-5 inches of rain this Wednesday and Thursday due to the remnants of Hurricane Newton. We have seen this before where even Jim Cantore of the Weather Channel came out here to report the heavy rains due to a hurricane and nothing happened.

If I can make it to Saturday, September 10, I'll make it past the Summer Giant blowing most of his wad on trying to impress upon me that he'll never die. Until then, 90s and very humid every day.

Global cooling sounds pretty good about right now. I'll settle for the huge walk-in freezer section of Costco.

It's freezing here. I'm putting on a long sleeve shirt to wear to my daughter's softball game. Unheard of for this time of year.

It was 74 and gorgeous today after a few morning showers. Opened up the whole house and I'm currently enjoying a nice breeze blowing through. Early fall here is amazing.
