Not in the house yet , but I can't see our grass or back patio... water is rising up to our back door... 1 more inch and it could start entering the house. Crazy long monsoon but hopefully it's slowing now.

Part of the roof blew off of my house on Wednesday and I have been having to mop my bathroom every day since. I hope it gets fixed soon.

based on the Tucson airport numbers we're on pace to tie for the 2nd wettest July in the last 96 years (5.45 inches). I know in my neck of the woods though we're on pace to have more like 7+ inches of rain.

If the airport has had 6.8 inches 8 must've had at least 8 at my house. It's about as green as I've seen Tucson and the mountains around town. Instead of being a brownish tint the mountains all have a light green color from a distance.

So, that's what 8 inches of rain in a month gets you.

Tanque Verde Falls, not 1 single person down there risking it a week after the rescue. I did see 1 man on the hike in but he wasn't clothed so...

Which is pretty crazy considering that the rain and monsoon didn't start until July 9th. First week or so of the month it was still dry and hot. Then we got like 7 inches of rain in just over 3 weeks

It's petered out lately. We haven't gotten rain in 5 days and it's not looking promising. We got a nice run for a bit, but...
Looks like the storms have been hitting south lately.

Where I live in coastal CA no one I know has AC.
Was 84 at my house last night around 7:30. Had thunder and sprinkles yesterday, something you very rarely see out here, esp. in summer.

With a low of 67. Crazy extremes. Spokane is supposed to be 97 today, but it does cool off at night.

That storm yesterday afternoon was one of the craziest I've ever seen. Clouds started building at 2pm southeast of Tucson and by 4pm we had 50mph winds and about an inch of rain. Sideways rain blowing Northwest for about 10 minutes and then it died. 2 minutes later it was blowing Southeast and you couldn't see the street from the parking lot. Hundreds of trees down, power lines/poles down everywhere and thousands without power from 4 till 10 or later.
Video from an apartment complex near Speedway and Pantano where firetrucks had to rescue people through 2nd story windows with ladders: https://www.instagram.com/p/BXp2t2GD_OO/" target="_blank

what's odd is I was working at Speedway and Wilmot yesterday and it wasn't much more than a quick 10 min storm with a little bit of rain. A mile away all that ^ was happening.

Holy shit, they're predicting Harvey may dump 30-40 INCHES of rain on the Texas coast. And it might loop back into the Gulf and regenerate. God I hope they're wrong.

Oh, it's gonna get real here real soon. SA is inland a piece but the models are all over the map. Harvey could come and park just about anywhere for a day or three.

I wish I could post some pics from Saturday. We will surely have flooding and might have some tornadoes. But I don't store pics online.
Just in Houston and Galveston last week visiting family. They are all hunkered down riding out the storm. They are mostly in Conroe and they are expecting 17-20 inches.
