That Climacool Mesh really honors his memory. Good thing they highlighted it or I would have missed it.

The real question is what Pat Tillman would have thought about this. Having read some of his letters home from the war, I doubt he'd be in favor of it. Seemed like a pretty humble guy.

Yeah I think it is a shitty play on his memory to build brand rivalries and profit off his image. Doesn't matter if it is ASU or not I think it sucks overall.

Scummy, i get that asu sends money to the foundation whenever they sell products with his name or likeness or number on it but is still just a way of them to monetize him and make money off of it. Just leaves a bad taste in my mouth and only comes off as a marketing scheme and money grab by asu whenever they do this stuff.

I've always felt ASU takes the Pat Tillman stuff just a litttllle too far. And I'd say that about any institution. It's hard to express in words, and I'm sure Tillman would love that money is being raised and people are being helped via his name/legacy, but I would confidently bet he'd want all the praise and branding toned down a notch.

Tillman would be very proud to see the foundation and the charity work all the good stuff that is done there but I think he would frankly be extremely embarrassed by all the t-shirts and banners and uniforms and marketing and praise and all that stuff

ASU has the second largest student veteran enrollment in the country (behind only Texas A&M). As a combat veteran myself, I will always be grateful for the treatment, amenities, and guidance provided me while a student veteran at ASU. I can provide stories of veterans I know who have been personally touched by CTG and his staff (with absolutely no media involvement) that speaks to the genuine respect and admiration of military service by CTG and his staff, but I doubt it would do much to deter you from your diatribe.

I very much doubt Tillman would have been comfortable being the focal point of of anything having to do with military service. Tillman understood the selflessness of military sacrifice. (Even when he enlisted he did not hold a press conference to let the world know.) But again, his family has been pretty protective of his legacy. They are instrumental and have final say in everything ASU does regarding Pat Tillman. As long as they are involved, and as long as what ASU does draws more attention to Tillman's story and the Tillman Foundation, then I am all for it.

Keep in mind, the Pat Tillman Foundation does not benefit only ASU. The foundation has provided scholarships and academic support to veterans and their spouses at over 100 universities. There have been at least 10 scholarships given to veterans or their spouses to attend UofA.

I thought the game was over when replay reversed that easy int call. It was a 10 point swing since the scum got 3 and then a quick TD. But then replay confirmed a bad td in overtime and toadster went all seattle in over-time. Glad I am not a fan of either team because today would be rough. You either feel like a lotto winner and stayed up cheering or you cried yourself to sleep wearing wristbands that say NC on them.
