I was hoping Candrea was going to let Floyd pitch the last inning.

Besides McQuillin, who will pitch next year?

Statman seems like she'll finally get her shot at pitching next year. Two incoming freshmen are capable pitchers too in Hanah Bowen & Taylor GIlmore.

I don't think Statman will pitch. Bowen will start out as the #2 starter and if she can't get it done, Gilmore would probably get a shot. I'm sure Candrea will probably bring in a walk-on, maybe a JC pitcher. I hope Gilmore has more success than the last pitcher to come from Colorado, Shelby Babcock. :o

If we lose tomorrow then all Oregon has to do is sweep the worst team in the conference (Stanford) to win the conference crown. That'd be one hell of an epic collapse by our girls if it came to that.

It wouldn't be an epic collapse, UCLA is one of the top teams in the country and has one of the best pitchers too. Oregon was able to get one win against the Bruins and I would not count out the Cats from taking the final game.

To me the most bothersome part is that we have not been competitive in either game. This does not portend well for the upper end of the post season

It's a pretty major collapse considering we came into this series with only 5 losses on a very long season and we haven't even been remotely competitive in this series so far. We were up 3 games on Oregon and now if we don't win this game today they will very likely win this conference. Losing a 3 game lead in the final series of the year is a pretty major collapse based on how we have been performing up to this point, especially offensively.

Unsure at this time, if she's day to day though it can't be that serious. Sounds like it was just a tweak. I doubt we see her at all this regional unless they absolutely need her.
