That TD pass to the tight end was a thing of beauty. What poise for a dual threat QB to throw it when he had that much running room.

Peete of course is a Tucson kid. Tomey thought he had him locked up, think Peete's dad was a UA track coach or something, but USC tried harder.Alieberman wrote:Khalil Tate has been named #Pac12FB Offensive Player of the Week for the third week in a row!
Tate is the first student-athlete to win three-consecutive Player of the Week honors since Rodney Peete of USC in 1988.

Honest question: Did anyone have a game elsewhere that had an argument/might've gotten snubbed?azcat49 wrote:Haha one has to think the PAC hype machine has something to do with this third week in a row pick. Not like he had a bad game but still, doesn't hurt to have the conference in he national headlines for what one of its players are doing.
azcat49 wrote:Not sure to be honest. Certainly you would look at the winning schools to find a candidate. Not sure what anyone on ASSU, Wazzu or UCLA did but in any event I am sure 3 in a row is getting some national attention. Don't get me wrong, I love it
That's EXACTLY what I was talking about with the "way more than us." SEC scheduling.azcat49 wrote:Yep SC, yep. I see you Schedule Easy Conference

The PAC has a hype machine? They should take some lf that machinery and devote it to getting P12 on a few more cable carriers.azcat49 wrote:Haha one has to think the PAC hype machine has something to do with this third week in a row pick. Gotta love the conclusion:
When Rodney visited Tucson on his official recruiting trip he was picked up by Larry Smith. When he visited SC he was picked up by Marcus Allen and OJ Simpson in a stretch limo.Merkin wrote:Peete of course is a Tucson kid. I played (er . . . dressed for) one year of freshman football at Salpointe in 1980. Rodney Pete ran roughshod over us his freshman year at Sahuaro.dc4azcats wrote:When Rodney visited Tucson on his official recruiting trip he was picked up by Larry Smith.
